HERBAL/MEDICINAL PLANTS THAT MAY CURE SYMPTOMS OF COVID 19

VIRUS

Some symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough, headaches, muscle/body pain,

loss of taste or smell, and others. And the following are the herbal/medicinal plants
that may cure symptoms of COVID-19:

OREGANO

One of the symptoms of COVID 19 is cough. Oregano is a herb from the mint, or
Lamiaceae family. People have used it for thousands of years to add flavour to
dishes and treat health conditions. Oregano has olive-green leaves and purple
flowers. It is closely related to other herbs, including mint, thyme, marjoram, and
basil. Oregano contains chemicals that might help reduce coughs. Oregano also
helps with digestion and with fighting against some bacteria and viruses. People
use oregano for wound healing, parasite infections, and many other conditions, but
there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. I have already
experienced using these herbal plants when I have a cough, especially when I was
young.

LAGUNDI

Known in the Philippines as lagundi, the plant thrives in both humid and arid
regions throughout Africa and Asia and has been used by local populations for
hundreds of years to effectively treat wounds, headaches, skin diseases, and the
common cold, among many others. The DOST saying that lagundi is safe for
symptomatic treatment of covid. Lagundi helps in preventing symptoms,
specifically loss of smell. It also provided “overall relief” from discomfort. There
was no significant adverse effect observed in lagundi use. Lagundi is a very
familiar herbal medicine to the Filipinos we use this to relieve or to cure cough.
Lagundi and Oregano are herbal medicines that may cure coughs, fevers, loss of
smell and many more. I have already experienced using these two herbal medicines
when I have a fever or cough, and I can’t deny that they are really effective,
especially lagundi. These herbal medicines and other medicinal plants can be
effective, but it is better if we consult or ask our doctor if we are sick.
