Concept:
Health communication strategies aim to change people's
knowledge, attitudes, and/or behaviors to empower individuals to
change or improve their health conditions and increase availability
of support and needed services. Using a variety of communication
channels can allow health messages to shape mass media or
interpersonal, small group, or community level campaigns.

In this unit, you will be given the opportunity to design a program for
community development and employ planning skills. Before this, you will be

Long Distance Lab Affair

Directions: You need a phone to call a friend/relative/classmate and a


video camera which could be from another phone or a computer.
Put your phone on speaker mode so that we can hear your
conversation. Record this conversation using video recording.

Activity:
1. Recall your experiences from your activity 1 and 2.
2. Call someone and explain what the problem is and give them
suggestions on how to solve the problem.
3. After you have explained everything, see if they comprehend all of your
suggestions by asking them the solution they have remembered, and
their reactions/assessment on your solutions that you have given in
solving your chosen community problem.
