Teacher (Ian): Okay good morning, everyone, today we are here to conduct a debate about the
importance of feedback. On the right side, we have the group of Hana which consists of Red
and Nicole. At sa kabilang panig naman, we have Arianne, Ashlee and Irish. Let’s begin, Hana
you have the stage to start the debate.

Hana: Ladies and gentlemen, I stand before you today to argue that feedback is the cornerstone
of success in any workplace.

Arianne: [smirks] I couldn't disagree more. Feedback is just a form of criticism, and it's not
necessary for success.

Red: [determined] Dyan ka nagkakamali, Arianne. Feedback is not just criticism, it's an
opportunity to grow and improve.

Ashlee: [dismissively] That's just a nice way of sugarcoating the truth. Feedback is just someone
telling you what you're doing wrong.

Nicole: [unfazed] That's not entirely true. Feedback can also be positive and acknowledge the
good work someone is doing.
Irish: [skeptical] Pero kahit na positibo ang isang feedback pwede parin itong makasakit. It can
create a false sense of security and lead to complacency.

Hana: [shakes head] Makitid ang isip mo, Irish. Positive feedback can boost morale and
motivation, and it can also lead to better collaboration among team members.

Arianne: [determined] Eh paano naman yung mga negatibong feedback. Pwede itong makasira
ng tiwala at self-esteem ng isang tao.

Hana: [firmly] Yes, negative feedback can be tough to hear, but it's necessary for growth and
improvement. And if it's delivered constructively and specifically, it can be a valuable tool.

Ashlee: [haugthly] But Negative feedback has more impact than positive feedback. Sa papa-
anong paraan? Mas binibigyan natin ng mabigat na meaning ang constructive criticism, and has
tend to remember them much more. Na nagbibigay ng set back sa work and can lost
motivation, which lead to setback and more work.

Arianne: [nodding] Tama si ashlee, we can’t consider feedback as a cornerstone, from the
negative feedback alone.

Red: [unfazed] Katulad ng sinabi kanina, employing constructive criticism enables people to
identify and enhance their strengths, identify their areas for progress, and foster a healthy work
environment. In layman’s term – it helps them to grow and become more compliant in a
working system.

Hana: [apprehensive] Idagdag pa natin na. It drives progress and develops a healthy culture of
open communication. Plus, positive feedback boosts the creation of the pleasant hormone
oxytocin in the brain that makes a workplace functionality to success.

Arianne: [sighs] I still think feedback is overrated. It's not necessary for success.

Hana: [smiling] Well, Arianne, I think we'll have to agree to disagree. But I stand by my groups
argument that feedback is an essential component of success in the workplace.
Ian: Okay that’s enough, both two teams did well in debating the importance of feedback. Yung
pagsasagutan ng magkabilang panig ay napaka galing. Now, bago kayo umupo, mag kamayan
muna kayo.

Hana: [laughing] I enjoyed the debate with your group!

Arianne: [laughing] Dyan lang at tayo magkakasundo.

Ian: Now, all of you go back to your respective seats.
