-The autonomic nervous system is part of peripheral nervous system belong to

the efferent motor neuron part

-The afferent it’s the sensory neuron that transport the information to the CNS

-Certain drug are related to the somatic system there for it’s the system that
control the voluntary function of the body like skeletal muscle and facial
expression

-As for the ANS control the every day involuntary functions that not under the
consciousness control that regulate the digestion , circulation ,body temp. ,and
glandular secretion

-The autonomic neurons reached to the involuntary organ

Three main sites reach it the autonomic neurons

1-Smooth muscle

2-Heart

3-Exocrine glands

What is the difference between autonomic and somatic

Somatic
Transmission of impulse’s through the
somatic neuron carried by single
myelinated neuron from the
CNS directly to skeletal muscle
Autonomic
Transmission of impulse occurs by
two neurons first it’s preganglionic
and second is postganglionic it’s non
myelinated to regulate the street of
impulse that reached to the organ

Three subdivision of autonomic nervous system

1-Enteric neurons

2-Sympathetic neurons

3-Parasympathetic neurons

- the parasympathetic is essential for life because is responsible for digestion ,

elimination and rid the body from west

- The sympathetic match the energy requirement for a particular physical

activity for the body activated when the body under stress

-The sites that have sympathetic enervation like kidney sweat glands adrenal
medulla liver blood vessels adrenergic

Q/ is the cholinergic could be within the sympathetic system ?

A/Neuromuscular junctions, preganglionic neurons of the sympathetic nervous

system, the basal forebrain, and brain stem complexes are also cholinergic, as
are the receptor for the Merocrine sweat glands.
