A. Discussion (How does the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick show our love and care for the sick?)
B. Setting the mood of the pupils – Human Knot (3-5 mins)

2. Each of the students stand in a circle, giving hands.
3. One member of the other group will stay in the middle of the opposing group to confuse the players
being untied on what to do.
4. The students must tangle themselves by walking in between students in front of them, going over or
under locked hands.
5. Now, two other students need to work together and give instructions to the human knot. They must
find a way to untangle it.
Questions on the activity:
1. What are your roles in the activity?
a. As the members of the knot
b. As the “Untiers” of the Knot
c. As the Man in the Middle?
2. What are the obstacles for the “untiers”? How did you deal with the ‘Man in the Middle’?
3. Why is it difficult to untie the knot? Is it the knot itself or the person inside the knot?
4. Did the ‘Man in the Middle’ discourage you to untie him from the knot or it pushed you more
to free him from the knot?

2. How can we relate it with those who are sick or nearing their death?
3. As a student, in your own simple ways, how can you help others, especially, the sick and suffering?

IV. Deepening (Wounded man Word Game)

1. From the first activity, the “Middle Man” is still wounded and needs healing.
2. The group from the previous activity will remain and throughout the discussion, those who will recite,
read, or share their ideas will be given bandages to stick on the wounds of the “Middle Man”.
3. In order for them to put a sticker on the “Middle Man”, they should answer correctly the questions or
words that will be flashed through the Powerpoint presentation.
4. The person who will answer the question from the groups will be determined by passing a first-aid kit
bag that contains the bandages that they have collected.
5. Wrong answers will add more wounds to the “Middle Man.”
