6.0 PROJECTS/PUBLICATIONS/PRESENTATIONS
I did project titled “Automated multichannel warming system for kangaroo mother care”
whose aim is to reduce premature babies’ mortality rate caused by nosocomial infections which is
a result of placing more than one baby in one incubator. This is due to insufficiency of incubators
which are too costly to afford in developing countries. This problem was also addressed by the late
Dr. Augustine masawe, pediatrician and neonatologist of muhimbili national hospital on
October,2020. This project was submitted to Mbeya university of science and technology as part
of fulfilment of Diploma in biomedical equipment engineering.
