Some people argued that road safety can only be ensured by giving stricter punishments
on driving offenses. Although I agree that a heavy fine has some benefits, it is clear that
there are other possible solutions.

One of the strongest arguments for giving heavy punishments is that it can act as a
deterrence against people’s willingness to commit crimes. For instance, people who break
the law will have their driving license revoked for a period of time depending on the
extent of the damage they made. As a result, they cannot drive anywhere without their
driving license, which helps them to be more careful and avoid commiting crimes when
driving. Moreover, those who are caught convicting driving offenses will be charged a
heavy fine. Consequently, drivers will be more aware so as not to lose their money.

Another point to consider is that there are other possible methods to increase road safety.
First, the government should improve road renovation by widening the streets and
separating lanes for big and small vehicles. It helps drivers to control and avoid hitting
other vehicles due to the difference in speed. As a result, it reduces the amount of traffic
jams and accidents from happening, which improves road safety. Moreover, we should
increase the driving age because they are experienced and mature enough to avoid
danger. To be more specific, mature drivers can be more responsible and careful when
driving as they have their family and job to care for. Consequently, it helps them to be
more aware of traffic regulations and not to break the laws.

In conclusion, although giving stricter punishments can act as a deterrence against

people’s willingness to commit crimes, I strongly believe that methods such as improving
road renovation and increasing the driving age can also help to reduce driving offenses.

Many people think that there is only one way to enhance the quality of road safety. I
partially agree up to that point of enacting more strict punishments on the drivers:
however, that is not the only way, while there are possible solutions that must be taken
into account.

To begin with, strict censorship also comes in handy with driver’s driving consciousness.
First and foremost, Heavy fines can be an effective way to decrease dramatically
unhopeful accidents, which act as a deterrence against people's willingness to commit
crimes. Simultaneously, a heavy fine must be applied to those who drive while
intoxicated, while putting in prison or confiscating the driving license of the drivers can
avoid an incaution awareness of traffic policies. Therefore, it can undoubtedly modify the
driving consciousness because of participating in the traffic with harsher policies.

Another point to consider is that there are myriad of solutions that should be taken into
consideration to deal with this problem. Firstly, Car renovation must immediately be
utilized to decrease congestion or accidents. To be more specific, Traffic cameras must be
updated and used in multiple routes that can control the speed limit and keep evidence of
criminal offenses for ease of punishment. Additionally, the age of driving can be related
to awareness, so increasing it can be an effective way to improve safety. Moreover, they
are mature enough to consider their family, parents and traffic regulation to be less
committed.

In conclusion, a heavy fine is not the only way to enhance the awareness of traffic, while
several solutions with driver’s collaboration can tackle this issue.

It is often argued that striker punishments for driving offenses may enhance road safety.
Although I agree up to the point that heavy fines can increase road safety, I
simultaneously agree that there are many alternative solutions for keeping the road safe.

To begin with, heavy fines can act as a deterrent against people’s willingness to break
traffic rules. It raises human awareness by paying money, and a few serious cases such as
having a high alcohol level while driving can be revoked driving licenses. Take Vietnam
as an example, a motorist who does not wear a helmet can be fined between 400000
VND to 600000 VND so they fear punishment and follow traffic rules seriously.
Moreover, it may be an effective way to reduce traffic accidents caused by criminal
crimes. When facing too many punishments, they are afraid and obey traffic laws.

However, there are some possible measurements to deal with traffic lawbreakers. The
government should improve road renovation, and build lanes for priority particular
means of transport, motorbikes, and so on. Furthermore, the law should increase the
aging of driving. Due to their age, elders are aware of traffic regulations, they do not
overspeed while driving, and they think of their families, health, and safety. The
government can promote people to use public transport systems more frequently to avoid
traffic accidents.

In conclusion, I believe that stricter punishments are effective to deal with driving
offenses. Nevertheless, improving road renovations, increasing age driving, and
recommending people to use public transport systems can also contribute to avoiding
traffic accidents.

TASK 2:

From my point of view, although I partially agree that road safety will certainly be
improved when stricter punishments are applied, however, the vitality of other methods
mustn't be forgotten.

Initially, the important role of punishments on stabilizing road safety can’t be denied.
First of all, when policies allow heavy fines, they will instantly act as a deterrent against
people willing to break the law, such as overspeeding, illegal overtaking or even
committing crimes. Therefore, a sharp decrease in law-breaking cases can be witnessed
easily since no one desires to pay their salary for fines, bringing road safety for citizens.
Moreover, revoking driving licenses from law-breaking drivers will certainly not only be
as a discipline but will also lead to the safety of the road system higher and higher due to
the sharp decrease in law-breaking drivers on the street.

However, there are still other available options in order to enhance road safety besides
punishing drivers. The first method that can be chosen is reinnovating streets. In other
words, by rebuilding the road system, such as widening present streets, and installing a
physical median strip to avoid risky overtaking,... can absolutely assure safety for drivers
following regulations. Moreover, policy about increasing driving age must be considered
by the government in order to make sure the driver must be mature enough in order to be
conscious about their action on the road and avoid uncontrolled actions.

In conclusion, I believe that if the government can balance between strict regulations,
right policies and proper infrastructure improvement, the citizen going on road won’t
need to worry about their safety or risky chances.

TASK 2

Finding ways to improve road safety is an issue of concern today. From my point of
view, the only way to impose road safety is to give much stricter punishments on driving
offenses.

Personally, I am strongly of the opinion that heavy fines are one of the highly effective
benefits that play a role in people willing to commit crimes. To be more specific, most of
the current traffic drivers are young people and their participation in traffic at an
unauthorized speed is a complete thing that can happen. Their participation in traffic has
no strict control or no rules, appropriate penalties are easily issued, making them more
and more violated and out of control, which in turn leads to an increase in the rate of
traffic accidents. However, heavy penalties are the factors that can control and stabilize
this situation. Heavy penalties such as revoking a driver's license and increasing fines are
key factors that combine to make traffic drivers flinch in driving violation.

One notable way to solve this problem is to renovate roads and traffic structures. The
government should devise appropriate options for improving the transport and road
structure with simple ways such as lane division and muscle improvement Infrastructure.
The lane division can make it easier to control the number of vehicles and the number of
violators. Moreover, it not only limits traffic accidents but also helps reduce traffic
congestion. On the other hand, the government may also enact a law to increase driving
age. To illustrate, increasing the driving age is to provide an appropriate age, mature
enough when people have a more mature mind for the family, work and yourself because
that increases the perceived value of traffic regulation.

In conclusion, the only way to improve road safety is to impose stricter penalties for
driving violations as an effective solution because it has no control over traffic in our
country but has many other benefits.

Task 2 :

Many people think that improving the road system is only effective when the government
gives stricter punishments like driving offenses. Although I think it is very effective, in
my point of view, giving other alternative measurements leads to a huge contribution to
protecting the road system.

To begin with, giving harsh punishments can be understandable when more and more
accidents happen nowadays. Heavy fine is one of the most effective ways when it can
create a sense of fear of breaking the law. For example, in many countries, wearing
helmets is one of the most necessary and safe ways when going outside by vehicles, and
under the heavy fines, drivers will be punished with a costly price which can be half a
month’s salary. For a second reason, increasing punishments such as revoking driving
licenses, more heavy fines and breaking the law can also enhance the safety of driving
and can strictly control breaking rules more easily.

However, besides heavy fines or harsh punishments, there are some solutions that can be
taken to limit and control the driver's safety. First of all, governments can increase the
public’s awareness about the safety of driving through social media or even some death
accidents caused by drunk, fast speed, and encourage people using public transportations
like buses, trains. Furthermore, driving age should be increased and for experienced
drivers to limit the accidents when drivers can slow the speed, be aware of dangerous
situations and avoid hare-brained moments of the non-experienced drivers.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that stricter punishments are not the only way to protect
the road system, there are some solutions that can be taken to limit the accidents.
Hai Dang

I agree to the point that harsher punishment is the only way to help people drive more
carefully; however there are some possible solutions which are more effective than
stricter punishments when driving.

To begin with, I believe that punishments such as having a heavy fine or revoking driving
license can deter drivers from driving dangerously and carefully. There are some benefits
of a heavy fine, it acts as a deterrent against people who are willing to commit crime, in
addition, their driving license can be confiscated if they drive carelessly. Moreover,
driving while intoxicated or not sober which can cause accidents or their driving license
can be confiscated or be fined. Therefore, those harsh penalties can make people drive
more carefully.

Another point to consider that there are several other solutions which make people drive
more safety and effective. Firstly, the government should improve road renovation in
order to make sure that people drive on the right lane with good quality, moreover it can
also minimize accidents which can be caused by mechanical failures. Furthermore,
people should increase driving age and let people who are experienced and mature
enough to drive, in addition, adults will think about their job, family and stay calm while
driving, therefore they won’t overspeed and always be aware of regulation.

In conclusion, although strict penalties can improve road safety, it is not the only way to
solve the road safety issue.

Task 2

Nowadays, there are many drivers who are willing to go against the law for their personal
purposes. I believe that giving much harsher punishment on these behaviors is helpful.
However, there are still some effective regulations that result in the enhancement of road
safety.

One of the strongest arguments is for the benefits of heavy fines. This action acts as a
deterrence against unwillingness to follow the law. Being under pressure of punishment
makes them get cold feet. For example, revoking a driver's license or charging for a large
amount of money. As a result, this contributes to the increase of vehicle owner’s
compliance to traffic regulation which leads to a reduction in accidents. Moreover, harsh
punishments are vital, since the safety of drivers, passengers, cyclists and pedestrians can
be guaranteed.

On the other hand, the remaining strong arguments are for traffic structure renovation.
Firstly, it is crucial to maintain the surfaces of the roads which involves filling potholes
and cracking seals. CCTV system installments across the street also result in the
reduction of collision and non-compliance drivers. In addition, raising the age driving
limitation is necessary. Drivers who have the maturity can be conscious and aware about
the value of traffic regulation. Therefore, they are likely to make fewer mistakes. In
contrast, young drivers are likely to break the rules or take risks showing off their driving
skill which result in a higher crash rate than any other age.

In conclusion, strict punishment is vital in order to enhance road safety. Nevertheless,

they are not the only methods to prevent drivers from going against the laws.
Khanh Ngoc

Task 2

From my perspective, although the more severe penalties are supposed to be the only way
to increase the safety of traffic and roads, I am unconvinced as there are many other
measures to deal with this problem.

It is admitted that ways to enhance safety for drivers surely include increasing more
severe punishments such as revoking driving licenses, and increasing fines. For instance,
license confiscation largely affects the daily work of drivers as they have difficulties in
traveling back and forth from the workplace or participating in and performing their work
tasks. Therefore, it acts as a deterrent against drivers from violating traffic laws as serious
consequences must be accepted by drivers.

However, I believe that in addition to stricter punishments for road problem mitigation,
there are many solutions that can be taken. Firstly, investing in the renovation of
infrastructural layout surely helps to reduce many risks of crashes. To be more specific,
by designing road systems more clearly, providing traffic monitoring systems such as
traffic sensors helps drivers reduce the ability to knock against other vehicles to avoid
committing to ensure their safety. Furthermore, increasing the legal minimum age for
driving also has the possibility of traffic accident reduction to reinforce road safety. As it
prevents young drivers who aren't mature enough to understand the consequences they
have to face when posing a threat by breaking the rules. Therefore, it surely helps to
minimize the risks of traffic accidents to increase safer road systems for traffic
participants.

In conclusion, I agree that more grave punishment is one of the most effective ways to
ensure driver safety. However, a lot of other measures also play an important role in
avoiding traffic crashes, accidents to solve those traffic problems effectively.

Task 2:

Nowadays, there has been an increase in the number of cars on the streets, which resulted
in more frequent accidents as well as other driving offenses. Therefore, some people
believe that the only way is to place stricter punishments. In my own perspective,
although harsher penalties can be very effective, I am unconvinced that this is the only
option.

On the one hand, I believe that disciplining people through means of fining, deducting
points, and etc; these will act as a deterrent that will prevent people’s unwillingness to
abide by the laws. Due to the fact that if punishments are lenient, people will have a
tendency to drive more recklessly and break more rules without being afraid of the
repercussions. To illustrate, whenever a driver speeds through a stop sign or a red light,
their driver’s license will be suspended for a period of time if the offense is not severe but
after multiple offenses, the driver license will be revoked completely, leaving the driver
unable to drive in the future.

On the other hand, I still think that other methods should be taken into consideration.
First of which is the renovation of road systems in frequent accident occurring areas in
order to improve road safety and better regulate traffic flows. For example, by adding
barriers to help separate between two lanes going side by side or opposite of each other
can decrease the odds of them colliding with one another. Secondly is to raise the bar on
driving qualifications along with the legal age of driving as with older age, people tend to
drive less recklessly and think more about themselves and their families.

In conclusion, stricter penalties can be beneficial and prevent less accidents as well as
maintain traffic order but let’s not forget about other ways that are as effective.

task 2:

In my perspective, giving a strict treatment on driving offenses may bring particular

negative effects but I believe there can be myriad solutions to solve this problem.

First of all, a heavy fine can be seen as one of the most severe punishments and this can
bring particular benefits. For example, the violators can be revoked license when they
break the traffic laws, this may lead to make them to be subject to administrative
sanctions corresponding to their violations. Furthermore, heavy fines act as a deterrent
against those people who often break the traffic laws. This can deter violators and help
them think about their behavior. Therefore, it plays a vital role in making traffic law
offenders flinch.

Beside a stricter punishment, there still are myriad solutions to solve this problem. The
government should improve the road structure renovation such as building bridges or
repairing missed and worn roads. Therefore, this can become easy for people to move on a
flat road or maybe many other paths and they can take shortcuts when they get stuck in
traffic or get lost. Moreover, the driving age should increase in the future since this age is
mature enough to be aware of the value and less break regulations. These people are old
enough to be aware or calm down when driving and handle more reasonable situations
such as traffic congestion or collisions with each other.

In conclusion, give a strict punishment that is not too worse for traffic offenses but it is
enough to deter them.
