PHILIPPINE CULTURE
BSTM -1106 NARRATIVE REPORT

On August 22, 2022, the Philippine Culture activity was given to us, and it
involved presenting the assigned topic of the assigned regions. We were all given
sufficient time to complete it. At first, it was challenging for every one of us—not just
me. We face difficulties such as having to complete several tasks from different
subjects, going from reports to long quizzes. We had trouble managing our time since,
as freshmen, we were still getting used to the new surroundings. The following task
was finishing a classmate's part who had dropped out. We had to look for a way on
how to do the part that was left to us. What we did to perform our work properly was
we worked together and divided the parts. We also had a good conversation with each
other to discuss what should be done and changed. While in class we listen carefully
to the instructions given so that we don't have to ask the teacher more questions over
and over again.

When STRASUC began, I found it quite difficult to handle the choir and
academics at the same time since I am a cultural student with a lot of extracurricular
activities. It was harder for me to multitask so I submitted my part a little late and had
trouble comprehending the video that was provided at the Google classroom. I started
to find my own way to give contributions to our group and I had sleepless nights just
to finish my other activities aside from this subject. During STRASUC, I barely have
enough sleep to rest my body and mind. But despite of that, I was still able to do well
in the class and participate in every group activity I am in. We prepped our hearts and
minds for the tour package proposal the day before our presentation. We are able to
buy tokens for the assessors, however, some of us are not financially stable, so we
still had to save our pocket money to help with the token and other paper expenses.

Thankfully, we surpass the day of our presentation regardless of the

nervousness we felt during the proposal. What I have learned is no matter how hard
multitasking is, if you really like what you are doing, there is always a way to help
yourself to move forward.
