 Day 1

DATE: November 10, 2018

ACTIVITY: Orientation

Time flies really fast, it was just like yesterday and it feels surreal that the

events happened all at once at the same time. Our first day happened inside the

Holy Angel University and it was the first time meeting with our NSTP facilitator, we

thought at first that she was our NSTP facilitator and we just later on found out that

she was a substitute because our real facilitator is busy. Our first meeting was all

about the rules and regulation in the immersion site so that we will be able to know

what are the things to do and what not, the facilitator also assigned us to group

ourselves and what kind of insights we can provide to improve the school we will be

going to.
 Day 2

DATE: November 17, 2018

ACTIVITY: Exploration / Planning Activities

I remember our first day in the immersion site and that first day was about our

exploration to the area trying to find what we can do for the improvement of the

school, during the exploration we were able to generate some ideas that will surely

help the students and teachers either related to their academic studies or non-

academic studies. The first thing we learned at our immersion was about adjusting

and time management, we were able to adjust with the environment and manage

our time so that all the goals for every Saturday are met smoothly. NSTP really did

help us a lot that we are able improve ourselves further and we will be able to apply

all the things we learned in real life.

 Day 3

DATE: November 24, 2018

ACTIVITY: Cleaning Performance Task 1

For the third day of our NSTP, we sticked to our plan which is making

instructional material and also making print out reminders that we post on the steps

of the stairs. We prepared our materials as soon as we arrived in the school and we

did not waste any of our time and started our work. We first printed the reminders

and laminated those including reminders about what to do during an earthquake; we

made illustrations and pasted them on every door of every room and on the stairs to

give caution to the students to be careful. We also made instructional materials that

will help ABM students; we made a life-sized accounting cycle illustration using only

cardboards, colored paper and other designs. We were able to accomplish a lot on

our 3rd day and it's very tiring yet satisfying knowing that we exerted all our efforts in

making something that will benefit the students. Even other groups were very

successful with their projects; they painted flower pots and organized the item bank.

Truly everything is possible if you work together.

 Day 4

DATE: December 1, 2018

ACTIVITY: Preparation of Instructional Materials

Christmas is fast approaching and this is our last NSTP class before our

Christmas vacation. We did our task of making instructional materials which is a

continuation of what we did last week. We finished the undone work early so we

decided to throw a little party since it's almost Christmas. Thankfully our teacher is

very kind to allow us after we finished our tasks. We contributed some money to buy

food and also shared our packed lunch; we also bought ice cream for the whole

class. We played games that all actively participated in and our teacher even gave

prizes to the winners, we were having so much fun that some of my classmates

accidentally broke chairs while playing. One of my classmates performed a song

number and we were all cheering for him. We all danced to music and enjoyed

ourselves. In that short amount of time we were able to enjoy so much and forget

our tiredness and was just there having fun. We were able to bond with each other

and also with our teacher, Ma'am Hilda. It was so nice and we really felt the spirit of

Christmas and it made us want to work harder in the future because that we know

after this, we have to continue our tasks again but today is really a wonderful day.
 Day 5

ACTIVITY: Performance Task 3 / Preparation of IMS

Day 5 was the most significant day of our nstp days due to the fact that,

we are able to accomplish our goal and project which is a very fulfilling feeling for us

and it made us grow also by improving our individual skill sets in making and

accomplishing of our group project. It was not an easy journey but we manage to

achieve the things that the group needs to achieve. Overall day 5 was a important

day and fulfilling day for our group and we are glad that the school was able to utilise

our work and that the students of the school were benefiting from it.

DATE: January 12, 2019

ACTIVITY: Performance Task 4 / Preparation of IMS

Last January 12, 2019 we had our second to the last task of NSTP. The class

was actually tasked to create different learning materials such as Power Points and

handouts. Our group was tasked to create a PPT. Our topic was about

Entrepreneurship and how to write a Business plan. To be honest our group find it

easy because we're actually used of making of power points. The only challenge to

us is how to make it more interesting and creative. We have to think creatively in as

short period of time. It was actually a great experience to us because it was like

review to us in our previous lessons and now we're actually doing it to help others to

understand it easily. Our group was actually divided to two. The first group made the

Entrepreneurship power point and the second made the one is about writing a

business plan. We did this to make our work easily and faster. Power Points are

actually one of the best teaching materials in school. It has to be creative to catch

the attention of everyone and how to make the lessons easier. The group tried their

best to make it creative as much as we can.

 LEARNINGS FROM THE NSTP2

National Service Training Program 2 (NSTP) may just be a requirement for

first year students but for us it is more than that because NSTP taught us a lot. We

learned a lot of things that cannot be usually adapt on other subjects on our course

which is Accountancy. We admit that most of at first we want to end NSTP2 as soon

as possible because we already took it last semester. We never thought that at the

last day of this seems like we don’t want to end it. Do you want to know the reason

why? It is because even if we don’t notice visibly, NSTP2 changed our lives. It

helped us to change to become stewards of the creation of our Almighty God. Even

though we are still first year college students of Holy Angel University, NSTP2 made

us realized that we can actually help the incoming college students in our course in

our own little way. Having no students every Saturday on Angeles City Senior High

School never became a hindrance for us to help the students. We made our plans

like making instructional materials that they can use on their classes. We even made

their school cleaned for them to have dirt – free school. We put a lot of effort for us

to make their school beautiful and very pleasing to their eyes for them to be more

motivated in coming to school every day with a vision of becoming successful in the

future. With all of the things we did on our NSTP2 we learned patience, how to

manage resources, flexibility, and how to become a steward on the creations of God.

We will always remember this NSTP2 even after this second semester.
