DUTY REFLECTION
April 3 and 4 (Monday and Tuesday),
Back on Monday and Tuesday, Duty here at Wesleyan Hospital, where we are currently on the third
floor. I'm just thrilled that I'll see everyone again, along with Ma'am Alex, Ma'am Ena, and the other
nursing staff; we won't have to be timid around each other anymore because we already know each
other. That is the only disappointing aspect, given that our shift remains from seven in the morning
until three in the afternoon, the time has not changed, and it is still difficult to wake up in the
morning. HAHAHA. Then there are staff nursing students who will also instruct us in various topics.

April 11 (Tuesday),
I came from a long weekend. I really miss doing my duties. HAHAHA. In brief, Ma'am Ena instructed
me to perform CBG on my patient. I knew it would be my first time, so I informed Ma'am Ena that it
would be my first time administering CBG to a patient; consequently, Ma'am Ena instructed me on
how to do so. After a successful attempt, I decided to check in on my patient. Then it came out that
Ma'am Pearl had placed an order for a Trodat, which is a tool that I enjoy utilizing as of this moment.
After that, Ma'am Jessica and Ma'am Rossel, both staff nurses, instructed us in computation. The one
bright spot is that even if it was second nature to most of us before, we had to learn it all over again
so that we can remember it because most of us can't. (I count as one of them already) HAHAHAHA.

April 17 (Monday),
The fact that it's test week, so we shouldn't have duty on Monday, but our CI insisted that we still
have to do it. It's not okay. In the end, we're in a hurry because most of us in our group still have to
study. It's a good thing the staff nurses working with us were nice. They placed only a few instructions
and orders so we could put some effort into our exam. On the third floor, though, we could still enjoy
ourselves and have a good time, so it's all good. Because I'm so funny, of course.

April 24, 25 (Monday and Tuesday),

This is our last duty as of now. Ma'am Alex and Ma'am Ena, two of my favorite staff nurses, will not
work on Monday. Nevertheless, Ma'am Lorist and Ma'am Mitchie will be available to chat about
anything we need. Nonetheless, we do not have a room, and the temperature remains relatively high.
Good thing Room 316 was made available to us thanks to ma'am Mitchie. We finished up on Tuesday,
our last day of duty. Good thing, ma'am. Both Ma'am Ena and Ma'am Alex are currently working. In
this field, I am gaining a lot of knowledge. Thank you to the individuals who shared their stories with
us; we gained a lot from them, and the ward got some good laughs. You, nurses, are incredibly
generous people. Always take precautions. I wish all of you, ma'am Alex, the best of luck on your trip.
I look forward to our next encounter, hehe.
