This document summarizes a book extension activity for the children's biography "On A Beam of Light" about Albert Einstein. The activity aims to teach children to think creatively and understand how inventions work. Students will work individually or in groups to invent something new or improve an existing invention. They will sketch their ideas, list steps, and use materials like art supplies, books, and videos for inspiration. The teacher will help each student-team create a project, which they will present to the class. To close, students will participate in a race to apply what they learned about strength, speed, and movement.

You will find the standards for elementary (K-2) on the Nevada elementary website: You will find the CCSD standards here: Parents should be aware their children will be expected to know and are able to do the standards defined which include reading, math, and science to help them gain knowledge as they continue their education journey.
Objectives (What will children expect to learn)
Children will learn how to think outside the box with the wisdom they know and the new knowledge they know. They will be able to get an understanding how things work and how useful they are. My students are expected to create a new invention or an existing one either alone or in a group. This will allow them to learn how to work in groups. Materials and Equipment needed: ● A clip from Disney movies (Luca two of the boys discovering how to build a vehicle, Little Meraid she discovers how to use a fork properly) ● Youtube videos (building a volcano) ● Art supplies ● Books ● Sketch of their first drawing ● List of steps how they came up with their idea 2. Teaching (What will you do?)] I will also take part of this project teaming up with each and one of my students for five minutes to help them create a project on their own. Each team will have the opportunity to either present their project inside the classroom or outside. With the help of this project I will be able to observe my students get an idea how they will work under stress. 3. Closure: At the end of the project I will create a race for my sudetns to particapte in to complete three
different tasks strength, speed and movement. Their classmates will be the judge of everything.
