Weight and Balance Calculation Formulas

Moment is calculated by multiplying an object's weight by its distance from a reference point. The center of gravity is calculated by dividing the total moment by the total weight. Shifting an object's weight changes the center of gravity, which can be calculated by dividing the total weight by the distance the weight is shifted, or multiplying the total weight by the center of gravity shift and dividing by the weight shifted.
