Historic Rizal is the person who lived and died during the Spanish colonial era in

was born and raised by Donya Teodora Alonso in Calamba, Laguna. He studied at the
Ateneo Municipal in Manila. He traveled and studied abroad. He is the author of the
famous novel Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo and the founder of the La Liga Filipina
and the Martyr of Bagumbayan in 1896. He was the genuine person, the actual Rizal we

The Symbolic Rizal is the Rizal we normally encounter in our day-to-day lives. He

points)

Historical facts are definitive facts about the past. Coming up with a single historical fact
is impossible. Historical facts have many connections; people always talk about the events that
happened in the past. Events in our history are carefully listed in chronological order; it also
explains the people involved in that particular event. The facts about our history gave us crucial
information about why things in the present exist. Historical events are contained in a timeline to
illustrate connections between important people and events throughout history. However,
historical facts are hard to attain for many reasons; much information about the past is lost;
historical facts also frequently depend on oral accounts and the lack of written documents. The
following is the reason why historical accounts are often subject to disagreement. Additionally,
oral statements are passed down from one person to another; each person may interpret the
information differently, which may cause misinterpretation and cause a loss of the essence of the
historical facts. The following are the reasons why it is difficult for an individual to come up with
historical facts.
