REFLECTION ON EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL

The movie titled 'Every Child Is Special' is about a little boy named Ishaan
Awasthi. Ishaan is a gifted young man. He has the ability to think beyond the box
and paint with great passion and inventiveness. His teachers, however, could not
understand him because he was simply thought of as a mischievous and highly
unruly child. He was frequently referred to as a "idiot," "duffer," "lazy," and
"crazy." Even his parents didn't get him.
Through the film, I gained an understanding of how difficult it is for all
people to be understood by society. Ishaan reminds me of my brother, in some
ways. It's not that I don't understand my brother or that he's bad or stupid or
anything; it's just that, as far as I can tell, he's become the center of our parents'
attention; not in a positive way, but in the opposite. So I'm wondering if I'm one
of those people who doesn't understand him.Perhaps I am one of those who
never tried to listen to him? And, just like in the movie, my parents are planning
for my brother to be transferred to another school in our province. Now I'm not
sure if it's a good thing or not.On the other hand, as to see in the teacher’s side, I
am feeling loving to them right now. For the teacher in the movie seemed so
understanding and served as the light from the child’s life in where only black
and gray colors are present. It is touching how he appreciates the child and led
him to get up and to walk beside him..

I felt sad throughout the film for a certain reason. Ishaan's mother's name. I
was sad because I was still in the first act of the movie. During that time, my
heart was breaking as I remembered Ishaan pleading with her mother to let him
stay and not be separated from them. I cried during that time because I could see
myself in Ishaan's shoes.I used to be like him. I became like him, pleading with
my mother to let me stay, but like Ishaan, I was abandoned. I, like Ishaan, was
turned down. Memories from my past surfaced in the film, breaking my heart
once more. It was heartbreaking that tears just streamed right at the window of
my eyes, despite my best efforts to prevent them. In the end, they continue to
pour while my heart aches.
