the essential elements of an experimental research and generally considered to come up with a desirable outcome? Discuss
these essential elements briefly.
2. Successful research studies provide insights that are accurate and unbiased. To enable a researcher to meet this, he/she will
need to create a survey that meets all of the main characteristics of a design. Discuss these main characteristics of a research
design and describe how will you apply it if you are going to conduct a study in your respective station.
3. Quantitative research methods are necessary for the growth of any organization. Based on studies hard numerical data and
analysis prove to be highly effective when making decisions. Discuss briefly this assumption and relate some experience
where research in your organization is utilized to deliver effectively quality education to learners.

some research-based classroom behavior management which can greatly help teachers in managing special education class.
Explain why you consider these classroom management strategies.
MED06-CURRICULUM AND MATERIAL DESIGN ON TEACHING
The curriculum establishes the foundation of what students are expected to know, do and understand through their
educational experiences. In what way can the teachers apply learning standards to engage students in flexible and relevant
learning experiences that encourage them to pursue their passions while building a sense of personal identity and deepen the
curriculum competencies? Discuss your answer briefly.

timely manner. How are the elements of formative assessment such as Shared Ownership: Student and Teacher, Learning
Intentions, Criteria, Questions, Descriptive Feedback and Self and Peer-Assessment be utilized in the successful conduct of
formative assessment?
MED07-TEACHING AND STRATEGIES FOR CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES
1. There is no such thing as “one fits all” strategy. Thus, there are different instructional strategies to help students with
different learning disabilities. Cite and discuss some strategies in handing the following:
a. Reading disability
b. Language disability
c. Mathematic disability
2. Learning disabilities have impact on the academic performance of the learners. Discuss some of the effects of these
disabilities on the reading, writing, oral language, Math, study skills and social skills of the learners if not treated
immediately. Discuss your answer by citing some studies to support your answer.
3. Some intervention practices that produce large outcomes in handling learners with disabilities are direct instruction; learning
strategy instruction; and using a sequential, simultaneous structured multi-sensory approach. Discuss how this
approach/strategy are being utilized to help learners having different exceptionalities
.
MED 08- TEACHING AND STRATEGIES FOR CHILDREN WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVE
DISORDER
1. ADHD impairs both social and cognitive functioning in everyday life. Discuss the behaviors a child with ADHD will likely
demonstrate. Explain how these behaviors can be addressed if ever you are handling such type of learners.
2. You must make reasonable adjustments for a child with ADHD. This will help to better their chances of success and reduce
the number of classroom disruptions. List down some effective strategies and adjustments to reduce frequent disruptions.
Briefly discuss your answer.
3. A child with ADHD may have difficulty sitting still and may suffer from exclusion and rejection from their peers. Being the
teacher of the class with this type of learner, what strategies can you do to handle the learner?
MED09- ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION OF EXCEPTIONAL CHILD
1. Evaluation is an essential beginning step in the special education process for a child with a disability. Before a child can
receive special education and related services for the first time, discuss briefly how the assessment and evaluation of the child
can be conducted. Explain the needed tools to be utilized during the assessment.
2. The initial evaluation of a child is required by IDEA before any special education and related services can be provided to that
child. State the three purposes of conducting this evaluation? Explain the importance of conducting initial evaluation.
3. There are at least two ways in which a child may be identified to receive an evaluation under IDEA. Parents may request that
their child be evaluated and the school system may ask to evaluate the child. Discuss briefly how the two ways can be
utilized to evaluate the children.
MED 10-CURRENT TRENDS AND ISSUES IN SPECIAL EDUCATION
1. During the early years of the twenty-first century, two (2) of the most prominent school reform agendas having significant
effects on special education were standards-based education and school choice. Briefly discuss the aims and purpose of the
two (2) reforms and their importance to our current curricula on Special Education.
2. Controversial debate about where a student with disabilities is best served is one of the most volatile issues in special
education. The controversy is whether full inclusion or a continuum of alternative placements is better for the learners.
Discuss in your own opinion, which of the both is a better placement for the SpEd learners. Defend your answer by citing the
positive and negative side of the alternative placement you have chosen.
3. One issue on special education is whether students should be labeled. Proponents of labels such as learning disabled, deaf, or
autistic believe that these labels provide a common ground for professionals, researchers, and parents to discuss practices and
share knowledge about particular disabilities. What can you say about the labels for the special education learners and so with
their classification? Do you think they should be labelled and classified as what the proponents are saying? Defend your
answer.
MED 11- GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING IN PRESCHOOL
1. Assessment of the preschoolers’ and young people’s developmental needs is one of the main responsibilities of teachers and
specialists working with them. Discuss the particular data that should be included in the assessment. Discuss why they should
be assessed and be included in the pedagogical observation.
2. Specialists providing psychological and pedagogical support in schools and other educational institutions include in particular
the psychologists, pedagogues, speech therapists, careers advisers, and educational therapists. Briefly discuss the
responsibilities of each specialist in the conduct of guidance and counselling for the preschool.
3. In all school organization psychological counselling is being provided for the learners, which focusses on addressing learning
and educational problems and on developing educational skills, to children, young people, parents and teachers. It is also
provided in preschool, schools and institutions attended by children and young people, as well as in counselling and guidance
centers. Create a career guidance time table which specifies the number of hours to be allotted in conducting guidance and
counselling for the preschoolers. Include in the career guidance time table pupils’ individual educational-and-therapeutic
programs.
MED 12- TEACHING STRATEGIES FOR HEARING IMPAIRED
1. Based on research not all children with hearing impairments are in self-contained classes. Some teachers under the regular
classes are accommodating hearing-impaired youngsters, some have collaborative team teaching, others offer special
education and/or inclusion classes. Depending on the student’s Individualized Education Program, this may or may not
include a sign-language interpreter and/or an itinerant Hearing Education Services provider. Discuss some strategies on how
the learners should be handled and what are the things to be considered if ever they are under the inclusive classes.

learners with hearing impairment. Include in your discussion the instructional environmental strategies for the hearing
impairment.
3. With the onset of mass remote learning for many students, reaching children with learning differences has become more
challenging in many ways. However, there are more tools available than ever before to support students with hearing loss.
From new technology that allows for improved real-time comprehension to classic in-person supports that educators can
leverage, there’s a great deal that can and should be done to level the playing field for all students. Discuss of these tools to
support the learners with hearing impairment.
MED14- PSYCHOLOGY OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

interaction in children’s learning. Discuss briefly the importance of this approach specially in the interactive understanding of
learning as aligned with a social model of disability. Include in your discussion the aspects that can enhance their learning
experience of the learners with special needs.
