COMPENSETORS
Compensator or Controller: has to designed to adjust
the parameters of the overall system to satisfy the design
criterion.

A control system is usually required to meet three time


response specifications, namely,
1) steady state accuracy
It is satisfied by a proper choice of the error constants Kp, Kv and
Ka depending on the type of the system.
2) damping factor and
A damping factor of about 0.28 to 0.7 (5% <Mp < 40%)
3) settling time
