Activity 2 (The role of the teacher as curriculum designer)

"Think-Pair-Share"

THINK NINGASCA:
The K–12 Curriculum's Curriculum Design
strives to increase students' knowledge in
a variety of subjects from Kindergarten
through Grade 12. Let each learners be
conscious of gradually understanding in
various fields. For instance, in the field of
social studies, we cannot immediately
make students understand what the reality
that exists today, but we must first
understand things in general, such as
identifying where we live in the nation or
the name of the room they will enter. In
this method, developing a curriculum
based on the grade level to which the
students are assigned becomes effective.

CABALLERO:
The K to 12 curriculum design emphasis is
on experiential learning or learning gained
through work and life experience. It is
made up of open-ended student activities
that promote the growth of tendencies and
capacities. The emphasis is on the quality
of learning as it occurs rather than on
predetermined outcomes.
PAIR According to our perspective, It is clear
that the K to 12 Curriculum has a great
role to play in shaping the minds of every
young person and also has a great
influence in strengthening their foundation
in recognizing the modern knowledge they
have learned.
SHARE Each student's knowledge only becomes
broad by Utilizing the abilities developed
through the study of various disciplines
and fields of social studies, such as
research, investigation, critical thinking,
intelligent decision-making, creativity,
socializing, natural ability to use resources,
communication, and expanding global
perspective, the student demonstrates an
understanding of historical, geographic,
economic, cultural, governmental, civic,
and social issues.
