EGGSLUT HATCHING A NEW LOCATION IN NYC THIS SUMMER

The breakfast sandwich chain expands to the East Coast for the first time

NEW YORK, May 9, 2023 – The popular egg sandwich shop Eggslut is flying the nest to
launch a new storefront in New York City this month. In celebration of the chain’s first East
Coast location, there will be a grand opening event on May 24, 2023, along with special deals
customers can participate in for the rest of the week. The event will take place at Eggslut’s new
location at 152 Prince St., located within the trendy SoHo community.

“I’m beyond excited to be expanding east with Eggslut,” said Alvin Cailan, founder of Eggslut.
“We’ve always been about providing our customers with quality sandwiches, so naturally, it’s a
great honor to be able to serve more people in a completely new environment. We’re confident
that our egg sandwiches will be a hit with the New York clientele, and we’ve even created some
new sammies to fit their tastes.”

Cailan created six new sandwiches for the NYC menu, including You Want a Pizza Me?, Thanks
a Lox, and The New Yolker. All of these sandwiches play on the cuisine that New York is
commonly known for, like New York-style pizza or salt-cured lox with cream cheese on a bagel.
The New Yolker is a twist on the popular New York sandwich “Chopped Cheese,” which includes
ground beef, caramelized onion, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato.
“I really think the people of New York will fall in love with these new flavors,” said Cynthia Perez,
manager of the new Eggslut location in NYC. “I’ve been working for Eggslut in LA for the past
ten years, and I have seen nothing but quality go into the hands of our customers. As a New
York native, I also assure that everything tastes delicious and authentically New York. We’re
even sourcing all of our eggs, meat, produce, and bread from local bakeries or farms within the
state. After all, there’s no bagel like a fresh New York bagel!”

There is something else unique about this Eggslut location. For every five sandwiches sold
during the grand opening week, a flock of chicks will be donated to a Guatemalan family in need
through Heifer International. “We’re honored to be partnering with Eggslut for their launch in
NYC, said Pierre Ferrari, CEO of Heifer International. “One flock of chicks will provide a family
with nourishment, sustainable income, and truly a lifetime opportunity to rise out of poverty. After
the grand opening, Eggslut has generously offered to donate 5% of the NYC location’s proceeds
to our organization. We can’t wait for this continued partnership.”

During the grand opening, customers can also bring in a saved post from the new Eggslut NYC
Instagram page for $2 off their first sandwich. Talk about an egg-cellent deal! For more
