Problem: Cooking is difficult and people don’t have access to affordable, tasty ingredients. However,
grilling and cooking are criminally easy and law-breakingly delicious with All Things Barbecue.

SFX/MUSIC The metallic clang and tightening of

handcuffs. A cup of coffee is poured and
the pattering of rain against a window.
The sound of muffled voices rises and
falls as a heavy door thuds open and the
whine of a fluorescent light fills an
echoing room. In the background,
smooth noir jazz plays as the scene
begins to unfold.

FVO: Tone is rugged, distraught, and HOW’D YOU DO IT?! I’VE GOT
impatient. FVO is barking questions to MVO. EYEWITNESSES PLACING YOU AT THE
FVO bangs on a table after the word crime to SCENE OF THE CRIME. GIVE UP THE ACT!
emphasize their point.

SFX: There is a loud crashing bang on a metal

table followed by the sound of thunder.
Muffled voices can be heard in the
background. The jazz continues.
MVO: Tone is calm, relaxed, and confident.
MVO sounds unbothered and nonchalant when
answering.
SFX:
FVO: Voice continues to get louder and louder
quickly deafening the other sounds in the
room.
SFX:
ANNCR: Voice tone is commanding and serious
yet pleasant. ANNCR speaks with a deep bassy
voice that resembles Morgan Freeman.
Incorporate a brief pause before the final
slogan.
MUSIC:
I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT ME TO
TELL YOU, DETECTIVE. I WAS JUST
MANNING THE GRILL!
There is a subtle knock on a door that is
quickly silenced by more yelling and
loud metallic crashing.
YOU KNOW ITS A CRIME TO USE SPICES
AND RUBS THAT DELICIOUS AND
AFFORDABLE. YOU’RE NOT LEAVING THIS
PRECINCT WITHOUT HANDCUFFS ON!
The background noise fades out and
transitions to serious, law-and-order
style ambient music. A smooth stern
voice begins to cut through the music.
WE KNOW GRILLING IS TOUGH AND TOO
EXPENSIVE FOR MOST. HOWEVER, WITH
ALL THINGS BBQ YOUR FOOD IS SO GOOD
AND EASY TO MAKE IT FEELS ILLEGAL.
