Some people regard video games as harmless fun, or even as a useful

educational tool. Others, however, believe that videos games are having an
adverse effect on the people who play them. In your opinion, do the drawbacks
of video games outweigh the benefits?

Many people and children in particular are keen on playing computer games.
While some people accept that, I strongly believe that there are more
downsides than upsides.

On the one hand, playing video games can be seen as positive for a number
of reasons. Firstly, it’s a tool for children to relax after undergoing a long,
exhausting hour at school. Children feel that their brains are more likely to
operate effectively when they are playing video games. Secondly, these
games bring a lot of valuable educational information. It may not only teach
them the knowledge they haven’t experienced at school, but also help them
put into practice in daily life. Therefore, some schools have used these video
games in order to encourage student’s awareness of learning.

On the other hand, I would argue that there are a variety of disadvantages of
playing computer games. The main problem is that some people immerse
themselves in the virtual world so deeply and forget everything in the real
world. This seems dangerous because they would do something out of their
control in the belief that real life is not different from the game world.
Furthermore, they are so addicted to video games that they aren't aware of
their health. Playing video games lead to some harmful illnesses such as
vision loss, stomach ache due to eating unhealthy food or becoming bad
tempered to everyone. As a result, their life becomes so boring and isolated
from society, people would lose plenty of relationships and interesting things in
life if they continue to swim in this mud puddle.

In conclusion, despite several benefits that video games have, it seems to me

that they are far outweighed by the potential problems.
