For children, video games can be addicting, it can be a great way for them to pass the time or just
to entertain themselves. These games are often harmless like maybe Angry Birds or Candy Crush, some
even are used to educate children like Kahoot! which is often used by teachers at school or even courses.
However, there are games which aren’t good for children and are just making them addicted to video
games which can make them harder to concentrate on their studies, make them lose sleep or even cause
them to eat less, it can also make them become violent or aggressive. Because of these side effects many
parent's are concerned about this kind of topic, but there is also some that don’t care that much because
they haven’t known the negative effects or maybe they think that the negative effects of video games are
outweighed by the benefits. There are several crucial things that make the negative effects of video games
mainly physical consequences, mental disturbances, and their Psychology.

The first and most important reason why violent video games have negative impact on child is it’s
negative physical consequences. Children spend most of their time in playing violent video games and
they are unable to take their meals on time and at the end they faced malnutrition and other physical
diseases. Children and adolescents today spend most of their time going to school and consuming media.
On average, children spend about forty hours per-week watching television and films, listening to music,
playing video games, and spending time online. There are also many researchers who are debating and

content is good it will help the child to learn new skills and if the content is not good it will leads to negative
mental problems because both can affect the child brain to a greater extent.

The third and final reason is that violent video games cause psychosocial problems. Firstly when
children plays these violent video games, interaction with family is reduced. This will also lead to the
children becoming less talkative with people around them, making it hard for them to make friends.
Secondly children take these games as a role model and behave like the character which leads to
aggressive behavior, obsessive language and other behavior problems. As early childhood is one of the
important part of every child’s life and during this, whatever child learn that learning will continue in their
further life so the negative impact which child take in their early years it will also put impact on their
further life. And lastly, violent video games can be addicting, they'll forget about everything they’re doing
just to play their games making them isolated. They can start to feel lonely or even feel depressed because
of the lack of interaction with people around them because they're too attached to their games.
 In conclusion it is true that violent video games are harmful for children in many ways. it is
important to aware parents and children about the negative consequences of violent video games.
Parents should check the content of the video game to prevent child the negative effects, and the amount
of time children spend on playing video games should also be monitored. It is very essential to introduce
the technology to the children at the appropriate age and with appropriate way. So, my final thought
about this is that parents should be more concerned about their children, they should pay more attention
to the negative things not just to the positives.
