Many types of video games have become a part of life for every person these days. Consumers; noticeably,
children are effectively influenced through the action of those video arcades. Among those video games, a violent
game, which contains shooting, killing, physical harm, and negative languages, is a famous category that most of
players always seek for. Recently, it has become a debatable topic which is believed that violent video games
have very negative effects on children including with their academic performance, personalities, and health
issues.
Children who waste a lot of time playing video games ruin their academic performance. They spend
numerous of their time playing games instead of schoolwork. This generally happen for children who struggle
with school assignment. Although they fail the test, they prefer playing over their daily homework. In addition,
they will surely spend more time by finding tactics and skills in order to complete the following tasks. Therefore,
they might lose concentration and their education are lowered.
There are many debatable ideas which talked about the effects of violent games on children; especially,
for their behaviors. It takes children to another level, where they are actually involving with violence. As we
knew, there are various games which allows the children slaughter someone freely by using the main character.
More than that, there are also many different of activities which they can do, such as stealing cars, doing drugs
and committing various types of crime. These games can have negative implications on the children as they get
adapted to the concept of those violent games by believing it is all okay. As the consequence of this, it is believed
that the children who are violent games players are easily aggressive toward their real-life environment.
Playing violent games has bad effects on the health of young people. For instance, some children tend to
unload their activities in physical exercises like doing sport or gymnastics. Furthermore, they tend to eat junk
foods and cokes that keep their bodies with much energy. Consequently, eating too much junk foods and lack of
exercises results in fat body and other diseases. It typically happens to a person who obsessed with video games
too much without taking care of their health.
In conclusion, we can see that violent video arcade leads to three remarkable negative impacts to children
such as lowering their grades, changeable behavior, and health problems. By this meaning, not every violent
video game is bad because it is made to offer an entertainment purpose only. However, consuming too much time
on them will receive negative effects than positive. Thus, it is significant for you to manage and control your time
between video games and your personal growth.
