Introduction:
Camp Based ‘Energy and Environment’ sector Meeting, including partners working in camp
20 & 20 extension’ held on June 7, 2021 at 8.30 PM via ZOOM: online video conference. The
meeting was chaired by Mr. Sarwar Kamal, Camp in Charge (CiC), camp 20 & 20 extension
and co-chaired by Tom Thornhill, Camp Manager, C-20 & 20 ext. CiC sir started the meeting
conveying thanks to all participants.

Discussion By sector:
 WFP scope card distribution process is ongoing, it may take time to
cover the hole camp, for the interim period we have to ensure that
no BNF left without LPG.
 Relocated beneficiaries from different camps to camp 20 & 20
Updates from extension should be verified by SM and CiC office prior to providing
CiC any assistance.
 CiC office and other agencies based on CiC office request should be
eligible to use LPG distribution point, while IOM has no LPG
distribution.
 ACIC has seized 53 empty cylinders with a person in camp 20.
Energy &  LPG distribution on going in both camps by using new scope card of
Environment SCOPE BD2.
(IOM) Updates  Few challenges regarding beneficiaries who yet not received new
scope card from WFP, we are ensuring LPG support to those BNF
through dummy distribution.
 We are having relocated beneficiaries request to provide LPG from
camp 20 & 20 ext. while their family attestation card not yet been
upgraded to current camp.
 Also having few cases of gas stove and cylinder lost, we are assisting
those beneficiaries based on protection and site management
verification.
 Beneficiaries, relocated from camp 23, possess old family
attestation card, their FCN upgradation is needed.

 plantation care and maintenance activities are ongoing


 On 20 May 2021, at around 10.30 pm an adult elephant was found
roaming in the nearby hill. It was seen after villagers tried to deter
that elephant. Elephant Response team members of Watch tower
19, 20, 21, 22 deterred the elephant successfully back into the forest
 : On 28 May 2021 early morning at around 5.20 am an adult
elephant was found roaming in the hill near the periphery of camp
20 Ext. The joint efforts of our Elephant Response Team member of
IUCN updates
Watch tower 22, 23, 24, 25 successfully deterred the elephant back
into the forest.
Snake Rescued:
 On 21 May 2021, A 'Banded Krait' (common name) was rescued
from S4B5 block by our Elephant Response Team member while
community people were trying to kill that snake.
 On 4 June 2021, another snake (common name- Common wolf
snake) was rescued by plantation watcher from block S4B4.
Action point of  Relocated beneficiary should be verified via Site management prior
the Meeting to providing assistance.

Afterwards the meeting has ended by giving thanks by CiC sir and wished for good health
for all.
