Proffesional Project

I have successfully submitted a Textile Design project in the “Lexus design

award“.
The brief given by them was to design for a BETTER TOMORROW and work
on the sustainable future in the designs in various design categories.
I have worked on a sustainable surface embellishment project which

consists of embellishments made from waste PET bottles and scrap fabric

remains from garments .

Fragile Minds Tinted Transparency
We may be tough for the world to see but everyone inside is frail and
fragile . Our minds are the most fragile part of our body and to protect
this most precious bundle of nerves, evolution gifted us a measly quarter-
of-an-inch thick skull and some cushy tissue. The brain itself is
frighteningly fragile, and a modest knock can be lights out. Picture
something between a finely-woven felt jellyfish and an antique vase.

My Designs would feature the looks of this contrast of A hard skull like
cover that we make around ourselves and the fragile minds that we carry
inside.

MOODBOARD
The embellishments would be made of plastic PET bottles and scrap
fabrics and give a feeling of Tinted Transparency and Fragility.

ADDITIONAL WORK

After the Lexus design entry ,I decided to take this concept forward

for the wearable art competing and make a collection from this

and finally construct 1 proper garment from the collection.

I have also participated in the Pantaloons “Next Top Designer”

competition and working on a ready to wear collection according

to their brief whose submission deadline is 29th October .

The ready to wear collection would be inspired from an Indian hand

painting based craft which would be translated into print designs

which would be used in collection .
