My favorite band

I have many favorite bands. Many from the 21 st century and many from the
19th and 20th century… Inspired from the biography for U2 from the book I
decided today to write for one of the most popular bands in the world –
Queen… Queen are a British rock band formed in London in 1970. The genre
of the band is of course rock music. Their classic line-up was Freddie
Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor
(drums, vocals) and John Deacon (bass). Their earliest works were
influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, but the band
gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works by
incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock. Before
forming Queen, May and Taylor had played together in the band Smile.
Smile were an English rock band based in London and the band was formed
in 1968 by Brian May. Mercury was a fan of Smile and encouraged them to
experiment with more elaborate stage and recording techniques. He joined
in 1970 and suggested the name "Queen". That’s how it all started…

Freddie Mercury died of an AIDS-related bronchopneumonia on November 24,

1991… And yes, all of the other original Queen Members are still alive. Roger Taylor
and Brian May are still performing as Queen, along with current lead singer and
American Idol alum Adam Lambert. However, John Deacon has long since retired
from the music industry to spend some time with his family. Sadly my personal
favorite singer and member of the band is Freddie Mercury and my favorite song of
the band is Radio Ga Ga, I will leave a link down below if you want to hear it but I
am sure that 65% of the people know the song and unless you are living under a
rock you must know queen… If you don’t I hope you will understand from my
presentation and you will want to hear some of their songs… For the end let me tell
you for some of their most popular songs and awards. Estimates of Queen's record
sales range from 170 million to 300 million records, making them one of the world's
best-selling music artists. In 1990, Queen received the Brit Award for Outstanding
Contribution to British Music from the British Phonographic Industry. They were
inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Each member has composed
hit singles, and all four were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003. In
2005, Queen received the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection from
the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors. In 2018, they were
presented the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Yes, and this is only one
twelve of them, you must search a lot to find out more. I have so much left to say
but this presentation is getting too long and boring at some points, so I will let you
I think I told you enough… Made by:
search alone if you want to find out more..
