Homes

You may be spending twenty percent of your life in front of your computer,
you may be spending 4 hours watching TV on daily level or you may be spending 3
hours a day outside but the international google answer says that humans are
spending ninety-three percent or typically said we spent an average of twenty-
three hours and thirty minutes at home a day. Our home is our place, is our
kingdom, it’s a place for us and for us only, most of the time we decide who
comes in and who comes out but sometimes it’s a bit different, and we definitely
don’t want an unwanted guest.
I live in an apartment in the center of Skopje, Macedonia. It’s eighty-seven
square meters big and it’s pretty much enough for each and every one member of
our family. I am living with my sister, mother and father only so we’re not that big
of a family. My dad didn’t buy this apartment but we actually inherit it from my
grandad who inherit it from his father (my father’s grandad or my grand grandad)
and he is now living in “Кисела вода”-Skopje with my grandma. Our apartment is
composed of one big living room with big windows, a normal dining room, a
kitchen, two big hallways, two pantries, two toilets-one for us and a quest toilet,
two bedrooms and a balcony which we are looking forward to repurpose and
make it a working/styding room for me and my father because we really need it
for a long time now. It will be a working area combined with some plants and
bikes laying around because they must be there but it won’t be a problem, they
will just bring in that fresh vibe. Currently the room that I am in or main and my
sisters bedroom is pretty basic, it has a big drawer for clothes, a small one for
school and art related stuff, two beds and a big table for me and a bit smaller one
for my sister. My parents bedroom is composed of only one double bed and a
little TV on the wall. The living room is composed of a big sofa and a big TV during
the dining room which is right next to it is composted of a big table with six chairs.
And the kitchen is pretty basic, it has a fridge, a big oven, a dishwasher and two
big cooking desks. In the pantry we’re leaving stuff that we don’t currently need
but we think that we may need it in the future… For me our apartment is on the
perfect place, it is in the center so everything is relatively near, all of my friends of
my friend group are pretty much near me, my school is near and everything is on
the pretty much same distance.
If you buy your own home during your life time or you already have it at the
time you are reading this you’ve made it and you probably fully understand life.
Macedonia is not the perfect country for me and I may be moving for some years
but I will always remember Skopje and my first home that I am living in right now.
But who knows, sometimes not everything is going by the plan, maybe this will be
my first and last home, but we never know and the only thing left is to wait and
see, the time will show us everything that we want to know.
