1. Recommended Curriculum Recommended curriculum is the name given to the curriculum


construed by the educational stakeholders at the national level. It
is more general and usually consists of policy guidelines.
2. Written Curriculum A written curriculum is what is formally put down in writing and
documented for teaching. These materials can include an
educator’s instruction documents, films, text and other materials
they need. Often they contract or employ a curriculum specialist
to develop a plan that meets specific goals and objectives.
3. Taught Curriculum The curriculum that is delivered by the teachers to the students is
termed as Taught Curriculum. Taking the students into
consideration, they decide how to achieve the intended learning
outcomes.
4. Supported Curriculum A supported curriculum involves the additional tools, resources
and learning experiences found in and outside a classroom.
These include textbooks, field trips, software and technology, in
addition to other innovative new techniques to engage students,

5. Assessed Curriculum Purpose of Curriculum Assessment is the process of collecting


information for use in evaluation. Curriculum assessment may
achieve the following purposes: 1. Highlight curriculum
expectations 2. Gather information about what students know
and can do.
6. Learned Curriculum It is the curriculum that a learner absorbs or make sense of as
result of interaction with the teacher, class-fellows or the
institution. It includes the knowledge, attitudes and skills
acquired by the student.
7. Hidden Curriculum A hidden curriculum is a set of lessons “which are learned but
not openly intended” to be taught in school such as the norms,
values, and beliefs conveyed in both the classroom and social
environment.
