My name is Clark Barne , and I am a fourth grade teacher at Lang Ranch Elementary. I have been teaching
for twenty years. I also teach various classes in the educa on program at the University of LaVerne. I have
had the privilege of working with Gina Duhovic as a student teacher in my fourth grade class. During my
me with Gina, I have had an opportunity to see her work ethic and desire to learn more about teaching
in the classroom se ng. As her master teacher, I have worked directly with her on all aspects of her
teaching and managing a classroom. In this me she has shown herself to be an outstanding teacher. She
has taught numerous successful lessons, assessed student learning, planned units, interacted with
parents, managed behaviors, and re ected on her own teaching prac ce.

Ms. Duhovic has consistently demonstrated her teaching ability by applying what she has learned in her
classes into her teaching assignments. She has a solid understanding of teaching theory and is capable of
managing her own class. Ms. Duhovic has taught all subjects and has shown that she is capable of
teaching anything. She has used a variety of teaching strategies such as whole group instruc on, exible
grouping, homogenous grouping, and several di erent modali es.

Ms. Duhovic has also done a terri c job incorpora ng technology into her lessons. She was able to use
technology in a way that engaged students and aided her in reaching her standards-based objec ves. This
has been incredibly important this year due to the fact that my class has a combina on of iPads,
Chromebooks, and even a 3D printer. One reason that Ms. Duhovic has been so successful at reaching her
objec ves is because her planning and prepara on are always well designed.

She also brings her crea vity to the classroom, and values the unique personali es of her students. It is
clear that she has a good understanding of how children learn. She is an all-around great teacher but, in
my opinion, her best quali es are that she is incredibly dependable, hard working, and professional. She
con nually gets the job done pro ciently. I have no doubt that she will be an asset to any school and
district she works for. It is my pleasure to recommend Gina for a posi on at your school.
