Değerli Cam Dostları,

Cam sektörünün global oyuncusu olan Şişecam Topluluğu’nun bünyesinde faaliyet gösteren
Şişecam Düzcam, üretim kapasitesi bakımından dünyanın beşinci, Avrupa’nın ise ikinci büyük düz
cam üreticisi konumundadır. Türkiye düz cam pazarının lideri ve bölgemiz düz cam pazarının öncü
kuruluşu olan Şişecam Düzcam, bugün Türkiye’de Kırklareli, Mersin, Bursa, Ankara; yurt dışında
ise Bulgaristan, Romanya, Almanya, Slovakya, Macaristan, Rusya, Hindistan ve Mısır olmak üzere
toplam 9 farklı ülkede üretim yapıyor olmanın gururunu yaşıyor.

Gerçekleştirdiği mimari, otomotiv, enerji ve beyaz eşya camı yatırımları ve geniş ürün portföyü
ile Avrupa’nın ve bölgemizin önde gelen üreticisi konumundaki Şişecam Düzcam, “mimari
camlar”dan düz cam, buzlu cam, ayna, lamine, kaplamalı cam; “otomotiv camları”, “beyaz eşya
camları” ve “enerji camları” alanlarında faaliyetlerini sürdürüyor. Şişecam Düzcam ürünleri, çevre
dostu, yeşil, sürdürülebilir ve enerji tasarrufu sağlayan özellikleriyle pazardaki ağırlığını korurken,
yapılar için güvenlik, dekorasyon ve gürültü kontrolünün yanı sıra yalıtıma yönelik cam çözümleri
de sunuyor.

Farklı coğrafyalarda yeni kapasitelerle büyürken aynı zamanda büyüme stratejisinin önemli bir
bileşeni olarak ürün portföyünü de genişletmeye odaklanan Şişecam Düzcam, Bilim ve Teknoloji
Merkezi’nde enerji tasarrufu sağlayan kaplamalı camlardaki AR-GE faaliyetlerine hız vererek bu

vizyonu doğrultusunda enerji tasarrufu ve çevrenin korunmasına sadece üretim teknolojileriyle
değil, geliştirdiği ürünlerle de hizmet etmeyi amaçlayan Şişecam Düzcam, üretim kapasitesi ve
ürün çeşitliliğinin artması doğrultusunda, yapı sektörü profesyonellerine yönelik cam çözümlerini

Şeffaf malzeme olan camın günümüz mimari cephelerinde ve iç mekanlarda giderek daha fazla
yer almasıyla birlikte doğru cam seçimi de büyük önem kazandı. Doğru cam seçimi yapılamayan
projelerde,

Binayı soğutamamak ve/veya ısıtamamak nedeniyle oluşan yüksek yakıt ve elektrik faturası,
Yeterli miktarda doğal ışık alınamaması sebebiyle yapay aydınlatmadan kaynaklanan elektrik
tüketiminin artması,
Tersi durumda ise iç mekana kontrolsüzce alınan ışık sebebiyle istenmeyen göz kamaşmaları,
İnsan çarpması sonucu yaralanma ve can kaybı riski,
Saldırı ve hırsızlık girişimleri sonucu yaşanan maddi kayıplar,
Gürültü kaynaklı fiziksel ve psikolojik rahatsızlıklar gibi farklı pek çok sorun yaşanabiliyor.
Ayrıca uygun cam kalınlığının belirlenememesi veya ısıl kırılma hesabının yapılmaması gibi
nedenlerle camlarda zaman içinde kırılmalar gerçekleşebiliyor.

 Oysa ki, sonradan çözülmesi pek de mümkün olmayan bu sorunları, projenin ihtiyaçları

doğrultusunda, henüz tasarım aşamasındayken, doğru teşhisi koyarak tanımlayabilmek ve uygun
cam seçimiyle aşabilmek mümkün.
Şeffaflığı ile aydınlık ihtiyacını karşılarken, dış mekanla da bağ kuran mucizevi malzeme camda
alınacak emniyet önlemi ile kırılma sonucu yaşanabilecek riskler ortadan kaldırılabiliyor. Yeni
nesil cam teknolojisi ile geliştirilen kaplamalı camlar, soğutma ve ısıtma giderlerinden tasarruf
sağlamayı mümkün kılıyor. Güvenlik amacıyla kullanıldığında istenmeyen geçişleri önleyerek,
saldırı ve hırsızlık nedeniyle yaşanan maddi kayıpları engellemenin yanı sıra yüksekten düşme
riskini ortadan kaldırıyor. Bunlara ek olarak gürültü kontrolü de sağlıyor.

The choice of correct glass has become exceedingly important parallel to the growing use of
glass, a transparent material, in the architectural façades and interior spaces of buildings. Many
problems, such as
Exorbitant fuel and electricity bills due to a failure in cooling and/or heating buildings,
An increase in power consumption arising from artificial lighting due to the inability to obtain
adequate natural light
Or, as another extreme, undesired sun glares caused by uncontrolled light emission into the
interior spaces,
Risk of injury and loss of life caused by crashes,
Pecuniary losses resulting from assault and theft,
Physical and psychological diseases caused by noise

 are experienced in projects where a correct choice of glass has not been made. Also, glass may
suffer breakage in time due to reasons such as a failure to identify the correct glass thickness or
to calculate thermal breakage.

In fact, it is possible to circumvent such problems, which are almost impossible to solve
afterwards, by making an accurate diagnosis during the design stage in keeping with the
requirements of the project and choosing glass correctly.

Safety precautions to be taken while using glass, a miraculous material that meets the need
for light with its transparency while allowing a connection with the exterior, can eliminate risks
resulting from breakage. Plated glass developed thanks to next generation glass technology
enables savings in cooling and heating costs. In addition to preventing pecuniary losses caused
by assault and theft by barring unauthorised access when used for security purposes, it also
eliminates the risk of falling from heights. Added to these, it also allows noise control.

Öncüoğlu + ACP Mimarlık Cam, mimari açıdan en önemli yapı
bileşenlerinden birisi. Cephede, tam
ve yarı geçirgen olarak tek, opak
yüzeyler için ise önemli bir seçeneği
oluşturmakta. Yapı içerisinde mekan
tanımlayıcı veya yüzey kaplayıcı
olarak transparan, doku ve renk
alternatifleriyle farklı ihtiyaçlara
estetik çözümler sunabilen bu
malzeme, ebatlama açısından
günümüzde gelişen teknoloji
yardımıyla diğer malzemelere kıyasla
daha avantajlı olabilmektedir.
Günümüz mimarisinde, hemen
hemen her fonksiyondaki yapılarda
cam kullanımını daha yaygın
bir şekilde, farklı yorumlarla
görebilmekteyiz. Bu, yapı dış
çeperinde olabildiği gibi, iç mekanda
modüler veya özel imal edilmiş
dekoratif elemanlar şeklinde de
olabilmektedir. Yaklaşık son 2000

In terms of architecture, glass
is one of the most important
structural components. In façades,
it is the only transparent and
translucent material and it is
an important option for opaque
surfaces. This material, which
can provide aesthetic solutions
to different needs with its
transparency, texture and color
alternatives as a space delineating
or surface cladding material
within the building, can be more
advantageous compared to other
materials in terms of sizing with
the help of advanced technology.
In today’s architecture we can see
a more widespread use of glass
with various interpretations in
buildings of almost any function.
This can be seen both in the
external perimeter of the building
and as modular or custom-

2013 yılında İller Bankası tarafından,
İstanbul Bölge Müdürlüğü binasının
projelerinin hazırlanması için sınırlı
bir yarışma organize edilmiştir.
Yarışmada, Öncüoğlu + ACP Mimarlık
firmasınca hazırlanan projenin
uygulanmasına karar verilmiş,
devamında da uygulama projeleri bu
firma tarafından hazırlanmıştır.
Ofis ve misafirhane fonksiyonlarını
kapsayan yapı 18.500 m2 kapalı
alan büyüklüğündedir. Kitle ana
hatları ile iç içe geçmiş 3 farklı
blok görünümündedir ve bu etkinin
sağlanması için, kısa kenarlar sağır,
uzun cepheler cam kaplanarak
vurgulanmıştır. Cephe cam seçimi
gerek bu kitle etkisi, gerekse
ofislerin iç hareketlerini dışa
yansıtabilmek adına kritik bir konu
olmuştur. Ayrıca, cam performansları
yönlere göre de farklı olarak
seçilmiştir, böylece ısıtma/soğutma
yükleri, ışık kontrolü konuları da
optimize edilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Directorate building that combines
the functions of an office building
and a guest house has a closed
area of 18,500 m2. In its outlines
the mass has the appearance of
3 different concentric blocks, and
in order to create this effect the
short sides were left blank while
the long façades were emphasized
through the use of glass. The
choice of glass for the façade
became a critical issue to allow the
reflection both this mass effect
and the interior movements of the
offices. Also, glass performances
were chosen depending on
which direction they faced; thus
optimization was aimed at with
respect to issues such as heating/
cooling loads and light control.

İki Design Group Cam, tarihten günümüze asilliğini
ve etkinliğini taşımış bir birikim,
bir sanat... Cam, binayı hayata,
hayatı da binaya taşır; bu da biz
mimarlar için camı vazgeçilmez
kılıyor. Bu zarif ama güçlü
katman, yapı tipi, büyüklüğü
veya fonksiyonundan bağımsız
olarak tüm projelerimizin ortak
malzemesidir.
Mimari camda yenilikçi ve enerji
tasarruflu ürünler konusunda
geliştirme yapılması bizlerin ve
müşterilerimizin beklentilerine
cevap veriyor; öte yandan, ortak
küresel kaygılarımıza da çözüm
arıyor. Enerji tasarrufu her gün
hayatımızda daha önemli bir
konu halini alıyor. Aynı şekilde
güneşlenme ve temiz hava da
böyle olacağı için özellikle yüksek
yapılarda temiz hava girişi
sağlayan açılıp kapanan sistemler

Glass is an accumulation, an art
that has conveyed its nobility
and effect from the past to the
present… Glass carries the building
to life, and life to the building,
which makes glass indispensable
for us architects. This elegant
but strong layer is the common
material of all of our projects
regardless of the type, size or
function of the building.
Developments regarding
innovative and energy-saving
products in architectural glass
respond to the expectations of
our customers and of ourselves,
while seeking a solution to our
common global concerns. Energy
saving is becoming an increasingly
important subject in our lives;
as daylight and fresh air will
also become more important,
systems that open and close

Vadistanbul projesinde, şehre
dönük cephelerinde kullanılan
malzemeler, özellikle dinamizmi
yakalayan high-tech atıflı 13 katlı
yüksek ofis yapılarında mavimsi
etki veren kaplamalı camdır.
Cendere vadisi ve akarsuyunu
izleyen paralel cephelerde ise,
bu doğa ile etkileşimi yakalamak
üzere yeşil renkli camlar ve az
katlı yapılar tercih edilmiştir.
Tasarım prensibi olarak kent-
doğa ikilemini yansıtan ve
yapının içerisindeki bireye veya
dışındaki yayaya bu tecrübeyi
görsel olarak da sağlayan bir cam
malzeme seçimi yapılmıştır. Eclipse
Maslak için de aynı şekilde cam
malzeme seçerken bir high-rise
yapısı olan projenin, çevresindeki
diğer yüksek yapılar ve kentle
olan ilişkisine, binanın ısı-iletim
katsayılarına uyumuna, kullanıcıya
hitap edecek olan cam malzeme
seçimine dikkat edilmiştir.

In the Vadistanbul project, the
material used in the façades
facing the city, especially in the
high-tech-reference 13-storey
high-rise office buildings that
capture dynamism is coated glass
with a bluish effect. In the parallel
façades overlooking the Cendere
valley and river, coating on green
tinted glass and low-rise buildings
were chosen to capture a sense
of interaction with this nature. In
the context of the design principle
a glass material, which reflects
the dichotomy of city-nature and
brings this experience visually
to the individual in the building
and to the pedestrian outside,
was chosen. In the same way, in
Eclipse Maslak care was taken
to choose a glass material that
would underline the relationship
of the project, which has a high-
rise structure, with other high
buildings surrounding it and
with the city that would allow a
harmony with the building’s heat
transfer coefficients and that
would appeal to the user.

Tago Mimarlık Cam, yapılarda sadece ışığı
içeri almakla kalmayıp içerideki
yaşamın dışa vurumunda da
özne olan bir yapısal bileşendir.
İnsanlığın mimari mücadelesi,
verilebilen doluluk-boşluk oranı
arayışını teknolojik olarak egale
etmiş bulunmaktadır. Güncel
tavırda doğa-mekan geçişliliğinin
oranını bir tasarım problemi olarak
ele alabilecek lükse sahibiz. Bunda
cam ve taşıyıcı ya da toplamda
yapım teknolojilerindeki ortak
ilerleme büyük bir etkendir.
Bu gelişmeler mimari tasarım
anlayışımızı da yerelden
kopartarak globalleştiriyor. Hem
iyi hem de kötü etkileri olan bir
süreç içindeyiz. Sürdürülebilirlik
arayışı içindeki bizler, tasarımda
geleneksel tavrın yerele uygun
evrilmiş yaklaşımları ile modern
teknolojiyi harmanlayarak

In buildings glass is a structural
component that plays a role not
only in letting the light in, but also
in reflecting life in the interior to
the outside. Man’s architectural
struggle has technologically
equalized the search for the
fullness-emptiness rate that can
be conveyed. We enjoy the luxury
of being capable of taking the
transition between nature-space
as a design problem in daily life.
The joint advancement in glass
and load-bearing technologies or,
in construction technologies as a
whole, is an important factor in
this.
These developments carry our
architectural design understanding
from the local to the global. We
are living through a process that
has both good and bad effects.
On our quest for sustainability,

bir firmanın ulaştığı kişi sayısının
bu çeşitlilik özelinde ne kadar
büyük olabileceğini gözlemliyoruz.
Biz mimarlar bu ilişkiyi yeni
bileşim/kesişim olanakları ile
çoğaltmada bir aracı sayılabiliriz.
Tasarım yaparken karşımıza çıkan
sorunlara çözüm üreten versatil
malzemeler de bize kolaylık
sağlıyor. Şişecam Düzcam’ın bu
durum-çözüm ilişkisini büyüyen,
gelişen bir yaklaşımla ele alması
bizim açımızdan çok değerli.

Currently the glass sector is
experiencing a breakthrough, it is
developing itself. Basically what
gives rise to this supply is the
economic demand coming from end
glass, the heat and light values of
which can be controlled, and which
is produced according to locality,
on our quality of life and the
economy are observable benefits
that yield a return in a very short
space of time.
Glass has an aspect that contacts
human life. Architectural glass
especially creates an important
sense of belonging in the user.
Architectural glass products of
Şişecam Düzcam are products
that offer a huge range and that
have taken their place in the lives
of many of us for a long time.
At this point we can observe
the greatness of the number of
people a company can reach out to
through this variety. We architects
may be considered a means
in improving this relationship
through new combination/
intersection facilities. Versatile

to the problems we encounter
while designing make our work
much easier. That Şişecam Düzcam

Avcı Architects Var olan ama yok olabilen, iç ve
dış mekanı varlığını hissettirmeden
bağlayan ya da ayıran; ışığı
mekana doyuran, ışığın şiirsel
dokunuşlarına fırsat veren,
mimarinin olmazsa olmazıdır cam...
Cam, artık sofistike bir katman;
son 20 senede bilhassa strüktürel
açıdan çok gelişti ve artık
sadece bir pencere malzemesi
olarak değil, mimari bir katman
olarak kendi yerini aldı. Gittikçe
koruyacak ve genişletecek bu
yerini... Maalesef Türkiye’de
henüz pek cesaretle kullanılan
bir malzeme değil ama bunun
da önümüzdeki senelerde
gelişeceğini ümit ediyorum. Şu
anda Türkiye’de cam üzerine
uzmanlaşmış bir mühendislik
bilinci pek az (aslında yok) ve bu
yüzden maalesef alıştığımızın
ötesine götüremiyoruz camı. Cam,

existent, connecting or separating
the interior and the exterior
without making its presence
felt, sating the space with light,
allowing the poetic touches of
light, an indispensable component
of architecture…
Glass is now a sophisticated layer;
during the last 20 years it saw
many developments, especially in
the structural aspect, and it has
now become not only a window
material, but also an accomplished
architectural layer. It will maintain
and extend this position…
Unfortunately it is not a very boldly
used material in Turkey yet, but I
am hoping that this will improve
in the coming years. Currently in
Turkey an engineering awareness
specialized on glass is very weak
(actually non-existent), and for this
doğa ile aramızda olan önemli bir
arayüz olarak artık çok sofistike
bir malzeme olmaya başladı ama
Türkiye’de mühendislik beton ve
kaba çeliğin ötesinde gelişmezse
burada camın geleceği pek parlak
değil. Yani eğer cam üzerine
uzmanlaşmış statikçiler ortaya
çıkıp yaratıcılıklarını zorlamazlarsa
basit bir cephe kaplamasının
ötesine gidemeyeceği malum.
Dolayısıyla Türkiye’de cam
açısından pek fazla heyecan
verici bir ümidim yok. Ama
tabii ki Türkiye’nin kısıtlayıcı
şartlarını unutarak konuşursak;
cam, potansiyeli her an yükselen
heyecan verici bir malzeme.
Tekil olarak ürünlere değinmeden,
Türkiye’deki kalite derecesinin
artık Avrupa ile kolayca başa
çıkıyor olabilmesi çok heyecan
verici. Avcı Architects olarak biz
her daim yerli ürünleri seçmekte
kararlıyız; yeter ki teknolojik
açıdan ürünlerimiz geride
kalmasın. Bu açıdan Şişecam
Düzcam’ın elde ettiği gelişmeleri
takdir ediyorum ve tebrik
ediyorum.
Balance Güneşli bizim için çok
önemli bir proje. Çok göz önünde
ve bilhassa ilk kule projemiz
olarak bizim için hassas bir bina.
Bu yüzden cam seçiminde çok
dikkatli davranmak zorundaydık.
Şişecam Düzcam bizim
isteklerimize çok açık bir tavırla
yaklaştı ve elde ettiğimiz ürünün
kalitesini tatmin edici bir şekilde
bize verdi. Dolayısıyla bizim için en
belirleyici unsur kaliteydi.
reason we cannot see glass beyond
what we are accustomed to. As
an important interface between
nature and us, glass has started
to become a very sophisticated
material, but if engineering does
not develop beyond concrete and
crude steel in Turkey, the future of
glass will not be very bright here.
In other words, if statics engineers
specialized in glass do not come
out and force their creativity, it is
obvious that glass will not move
beyond a simple cladding material.
For that reason I harbor no exciting
hope regarding glass in Turkey. But
of course, if we speak forgetting
Turkey’s limiting conditions, glass is
an exciting material the potential
of which is always on the rise.
Without concentrating on individual
products, the fact that the quality
in Turkey is now capable of easily
competing with Europe is very
exciting. As Avcı Architects we
are determined to always choose
domestic products, provided that
our products do not remain behind
in terms of technology. From this
angle I appreciate and congratulate
the developments achieved by
Şişecam Düzcam.
Balans Güneşli is a very important
project for us. It is in the
foreground and, being our first
tower project, it is a very sensitive
building for us. For this reason we
had to show utmost care in the
choice of glass. Şişecam Düzcam
approached our demands with a
very clear attitude and supplied us
with the quality that satisfied us.
Therefore, the determining element
for us was quality.

bir dönüşüme sebep olmuştur.
Bu sihirli etkinin nedeni de
son derece basittir; cam,
ışığın geçirgenlik ve yansıtma
derecelerini kontrol etme imkanı
sunarak binanın bedeninin ışığa
duyarlı hale gelişini ima eder.
Gündüz veya gece, farklı aydınlık
seviyelerinde ışığın ne kadarını
geçirmek, ne kadarını yansıtmak
istiyoruz? Basit gibi görünen
zorlu bir sorudur bu. Cam
seçimlerini en çok etkileyen kriter
projenin spesifik bağlamında bu
soruya verilen cevapla belirlenir.
Her defasında arazide bütün
olası ışık etkilerini göz önünde
bulunduran titiz bir araştırmanın
ve seçim sürecinin yürütülmesi
gerekir, zira kontrolü en zor
malzeme ışıktır.
In the history of architecture very
few materials have caused such
a revolutionary transformation
as glass did. The reason of this
magical effect is very simple;
offering the chance to control
the degrees of transmission
and reflection of light, glass
suggests the building’s body’s
transformation into an entity
sensitive to light.
Day or night, how much of the
light do we want to transmit and
how much do we want to reflect
under different illumination levels?
This is a seemingly simple question
which is actually rather tough. The
criterion that affects glass choice
most is determined through the
answer to this question within
the specific context of the project.
Each time the selection process
must involve a meticulous study

ayarladığı kadar, yansıttığı ışığın
şiddeti ve rengi sayesinde binanın
imgesini de kuran bir malzeme.
Belki de bu sayede ‘binanın ışığa
duyarlı bedeni’ sözü ileride daha

Looking at it today, it appears
that the future of glass lies in
increasing the material’s sensitivity
in this matter: A sensitive surface,
the ability to control at a micro-
scale progressively increases… In
other words, it is a material that
establishes the building’s image
thanks to the
intensity and color of light it
reflects as well as setting the light
and illumination level within the
building. Perhaps for this reason
the expression ‘the building’s
body that is sensitive to light’ will
become more meaningful in the

A Tasarım Mimarlık Cam, çok eski bir malzeme
ama aynı zamanda teknolojinin
de yardımıyla geliştirilmiş,
performansı artırılmış bir
malzeme. Yüzyıllar boyunca tek
bir yüzey olarak kullanılıyor.
Daha sonra iki tanesini bir araya
getirerek, ardından iki yüzey
arasında oluşan boşluğu kontrol
ederek, sonra yüzeylerine bir
takım uygulamalar yaparak daha
da fonksiyonel ve verimli hale
getiriliyor. Gittikçe performansı
artırılan ve yeni boyutlar
kazandırılan bir malzeme. Hatta
bir ileri gidip, üçüncü bir cam ya da
ikinci bir cephe oluşturulmasıyla
müthiş bir yapı elemanına
dönüşüyor.
Teknolojik olarak kesiti sürekli
geliştiriliyor. Pek çok malzemenin
arkasını göremiyorsunuz ama cam
şeffaf, doğal ve teknolojik… Camın

Glass is an ancient material but,
at the same time, it is a material
that has been developed and has
been given increased performance
with the help of technology.
It had been used as a single
layer for centuries. Then it was
rendered even more functional and
efficient by bringing two layers
together, then controlling the gap
between these two layers, and
finally coating these surfaces in
a certain way. It is a material the
performance of which has been

Yazgan Design Cam, bir arayüzdür. Akışkanlığı
sayesinde her şekle girebilen bir
malzemedir. Şeffaflık özelliğiyle,
her türlü renge bürünebilmesiyle
birçok malzemeyi kıskandıran
bir malzemedir. Cam yansıma
-geçirgenliğiyle yüzeyinin zaman
ve ışıkla değişken görünmesini
sağlayan bir arayüzdür. Aynı
zamanda kırılgandır, limitleri
vardır; insanların cam üretiminde
ve kullanımında davranışlarına
etki eder. Mekanda derinlik
için en önemli katmalardandır.
Hem derinliği hissetmemizi
sağlayan, hem de derinlik algısını
engellemeyen bir arayüzdür.
Çok işlevli, çok amaçlıdır. Cam,
aynı zamanda doğal ışığın
etkisini, görünmeyeni görünür
kılan bir arayüzdür. Mimarlara,
camı kullandıktan sonra mekanı
zenginleştirme konusunda
yardımcı olan bir arayüzdür.

katsayısı, U değerleri gibi değerler
de dikkate alınarak olabildiğince
şeffaf ve büyük ölçüde Şişecam
Temperlenebilir Solar Low-E
Cam Nötral 50/33 camlar tercih
edilmiştir. Ön ve arka yüzeylerde
kullanılan Şişecam Ultra Clear
Düzcam ürünleri, aynı zamanda
kesitte kot farkı ile 6 metre
yukarıda bulunan plazanın da
derinlikte görünmesine katkıda
bulunacaklardır. Cam yüzeyler
Eskişehir yolu, plaza ve yapı
arasında kurulmuş bir arayüzdür.
Ayrıca, bütüncül bir cephe
anlayışı ve cephedeki sürekliliği
vurgulamak için duvarlara denk
gelen bölümlerde, duvarların
önüne kahverengi fritli cam
kullanılmıştır.
