Teaching Plan SCIENCE GRADE 5:

1. Ask Ss to open their book page 427, Ask ss to look at the picture. What do they see? It’s a statue at mount
Rushmore, have you ever seen it? What do you think it’s made of? What type of rock? Ask them to write:
”Granite formed when melted rocks inside earth slowly cools”
2. Ask them to find the lesson vocabulary
3. Open 428. Ask Levski to read the text. Once done, ask: so, what is rock? What is ingenious rock? …. Tell them to
underline the definition.
4. Open 429. Ask ALbert to read the text. Once done, tell them that there are 2 types of how mineral crystal
formed. ~First: When magma BENEATH earth cools down it formed mineral with crystal which you can see
directly with your eyes, such as: Granite
~Second: When magma On earth SURFACE cools down it formed mineral with crystal which you can not see
directly, such as: Basalt
5. Open 430. Ask Jenni to read the text. Once done, ask: “what is sediment? What is sedimentary rocks? ….. Tell
them to underline the definition
6. Open 431. Ask Aldo to read the text. Once done, ask them to do the Box below, ask them to write: “because the
heat could melt the fossil”
7. Open 432. Ask EL to read. Once done, ask: “what is metamorphic rocks?... Tell them to underline the definition
8. Open 433. Ask Qaissar to read the text. Once done, ask them to do the box
9. Open 434. Ask Dinola to read. Once done, ask: “what is metamorphic rocks?... Tell them to underline the
definition
10. Open 435. Ask Jenni to read. Once done, ask ss to color the line (tell them the color)
11. Open 436. Ask Levski to read.
12. Open 435. Ask EL to read. Once done, ask ss to write the use of rocks in daily life.
13. Ask Ss to do the Sum it up & Brain Check, once done – check.
14. After everyone done, ask Ss to do the Apply Concept, once done – check.
