    TURBIDITY

    Aim:- To determine the hardness of water through cement block.

    Materials :- Pervious concrete, Ceramic , Rubber, Coal.

    Turbidity Test:-

    Turbidity in a solution is caused by presence of suspended impurity, specially of non-settleable nature. The
    measurement of turbidity is necessary to decide the dose of coagulant needed to remove the suspended
    impurity. Presence of turbidity in water causes the incident light to be scattered and absorbed and only part of
    light gets transmitted in straight line. The measurement of turbidity is based on the same principle.

    Materials Turbidity

    Pervious Block 122 NTU

    Coal Block 20 NTU

    Ceramic Block 34 NTU

    Rubber Block 61 NTU

    Turbidity of pre-purified water :- 148 NTU

    Conclusion:-

     As we have seen that the normal pervious concrete shows higher Turbidity as compared to other
    blocks. Turbidity of water through the normal pervious block is little less than pre-purified water.
     But when pass water through rubber, ceramic and coal block turbidity reduces and improves the result
    compared to the water through normal pervious block. Among all waste coal shows better results.
