This informs you that selected grade 10 and senior high school students, whose names appear on the attached list are
excused from their classes starting February 27 up to March 20, 2018 since they will comprise our contingent preparing
for the KALAP Festival Street Dancing. Thus, they need to attend rigid rehearsals and trainings before the competition.
This event is part of the celebration for the 20th Founding Anniversary of Calapan City.
Please be guided of the related DepED order regarding grade-computation of students who are involved in co-curricular
activities such as mentioned above.

GUIDELINES
1. The pageant will be participated in by student-representatives from the different curricular programs that our
school is offering. That is, one pair of male and female representative per program. The following programs are
listed below:
From Junior High School
 Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Department (STE)
 Special Program in the Arts (SPA)
 Special Program in Sports (SPS)
 Special Program in Journalism
 Regular (2 pair-representatives)
From Senior High School
 Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM)
 General Academic Strand (GAS)
 Humanities & Social Sciences (HUMSS)
 Accountancy, Business & Management (ABM)
 Technical, Vocational & Livelihood (TVL)
 Arts & Design Track together with Sports Track
All in all, the pageant will have 12 competing pairs.
2. Program Heads, through their pageant coordinators should submit the names of their respective representatives
to the committee on February 5-6, 2018. These representatives must also attend their official pictorial on
February 7, 2018. Attire of the contestants for the pictorial and venue to be announced.
3. For the actual pageant, each pair must wear three (3) outfits:
 Millennial Attire – for the opening number (style will be decided thru draw lots)
 School Uniform
 Formal Wear – ball gown for females (white/black, silver, gray)
tuxedo/formal suit for males (white/black, silver, gray)
4. Each contestant will be graded in the three (3) attires from 1-10, 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest.
5. The over-all score of the contestants will be composed of the following:

6. There panel of judges will be composed of a three-member separate set for male contestants and a three-
member separate set for females. The decision of the panel of judges is final and irrevocable.

8. Special awards, aside from the award per attire will be given. Certificate of participation will be given to all the
participants.

In line with the celebration of the 20th Founding Anniversary of Calapan City, our school will be joining KALAP Festival
Street Dancing on March 20, 2018. On this regard, we are requesting that you allow selected grade 10 and senior high
school students to comprise our contingent. They will need to attend rigid rehearsals and trainings in preparation for the
competition. Thus, they will be excused from their classes starting February 27, 2018 up to the date of the competition.
We are also hopeful that the subject teachers of these students will cooperate on this endeavor.
