10. HINDI BRANCH:


i) During the period, one meeting of the official Language
Implementation Committee was held on 22.03.2022 under the
Chairmanship of Secretary in which progressive use of Hindi in the
Commission was reviewed.

ii) The website of the Commission is in bilingual form and all materials
are being uploaded bilingually. Its updation is a continuous process.
iii) Two Hindi workshops were organized on 25 February and 23 June,
2022 in the commission‟s office, in which 37 Officials participated.
iv) 09 staff working in different sections of UPSC are felicitated for
doing exemplary work in Hindi by the Hon‟ble Minister of State,
Ministry of Home Affairs in the Technical Conference organised
recently on 18.06.2022 by the Deptt. of Official language, MHA, New
Delhi.

11. WELFARE:
i) An in-house Covid-19 booster dose Vaccination Camp in
coordination with the District Magistrate of New Delhi Area and
Doctors and Nursing Team of Lady Hardinge Medical College
Hospital, New Delhi was organized on 4th and 6th May, 2022.

ii) On the Occasion of International Yoga Day, in-house Yoga classes


were conducted from 23rd May to 21st June 2022 by the Yoga
Trainer of Morarji Desai Institute of Yoga, New Delhi.

12. VISITS:
i) A four-member delegation led by Shri Sanjay Kumar Shrotriya,
Hon‟ble Chairman, Rajasthan PSC visited the Commission on
08.03.2022 to study the examination, evaluation and other IT
enabled systems.

ii) A four-member delegation led by Hon‟ble Justice Vijay Kumar Vyas,


former Judge, Rajasthan High Court visited the Commission on
11.03.2022 on a study visit to strengthen and make the whole
process of competitive examinations transparent and flawless.

iii) A six-member delegation headed by Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, Head
of the Civil Service of the Federation, Nigeria visited the Commission
on 16.03.2022. A presentation on the functioning of the
Commission was made to the delegation.

iv) An eleven-member delegation led by Mr. Mohamed Nasih, President,


Civil Service Commission, Maldives along with four officers of
National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) visited the
Commission on 15.06.2022. Interactive session was held on the
functioning of the Commissions.

X. PROJECT / SCHEME / STUDY/SURVEY OR INNOVATIVE WORK
DONE BY THE STATE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONS.
1. Arunachal i) Arunachal Pradesh PSC has added three (03) more
Pradesh Centres for conducting Arunachal Pradesh Public
Service Combined Competitive Examination across the
state with a total of 21 Centres.
2. Assam i) Conduct of Computer Based Test (CBT): Keeping in
pace with the modern Information Technology and as
adopted by various state Public Service Commissions,
the Commission also conducted Screening Test in CBT
mode under Direct Recruitment Section. This has
enabled the Commission to declare the results within a
short period of time. Accordingly, the Commission is
going to conduct several screening tests in CBT mode
in the days to come.
ii) The Commission for the first time has successfully
accomplished a pioneering initiative by digitally
evaluation all the answer scripts of the Combined
Competitive Examination (Mains) 2020 numbering
26602 (twenty six thousand six hundred and two) with
the highest confidentially and security and thus this
was a new paradigm in the State Government
recruitment process in filling up the top level posts of
ACS, APS, ALRS, Assam Taxation Services and Allied
Services etc. The Commission completed the process of
evaluation in a record time of 2 months and 18 days
compared to earlier manual evaluation taking up to 6
to 8 months to complete the evaluation.
3. Chhattisgarh i) Hon‟ble Shri Taman Singh Sonwani, Chairman,
Chhattisgarh PSC visited Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
from 14.04.2022 to 17.04.2022 to participate in 23rd
National Conference Chairpersons of State PSC‟s
15&16 April.
4. Goa i) Shri Jose Manuel Noronha, Hon‟ble Chairman, Goa
PSC and Hon‟ble Member of the Standing Committee of
National Conference of Chairpersons of PSCs attended
the Meeting of the Standing Committee of National
Conference of Chairpersons of State PSCs held on
07.01.2022 at Ajmer, Rajasthan and from 14.04.2022
to 15.04.2022 at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
ii) Shri Jose Manuel Noronha, Hon‟ble Chairman, Goa
PSC and Hon‟ble Chairman of the Standing Committee
of National Conference of Chairpersons of PSCs visited
Haryana PSC on 06.05.2022 for studying the good
practices being followed there.

iii) Shri Ajay Kumar, IFS (Retd.), Hon‟ble Chairman visited
Goa PSC from 12.04.2022 to 15.04.2022 to study the
good practices and initiative taken by Goa Public
Service Commission.

5. Madhya i) A “One day National Seminar” was organized by the


Pradesh Commission on 13.03.2022. The motive of the seminar
was to discuss qualitative improvement of the Question
Paper, Composition of the paper, Moderation,
Evaluation. The seminar was divided in three sessions.
Dr. Rajesh Lal Mehra the Hon‟ble Chairman MPPSC
presided over the inaugural session of the Seminar.
Participants of all districts of M.P. & some districts of
Gujarat, Maharashtra & Rajasthan participated in the
seminar.

6. Maharashtra i) Number of Attempt/opportunities: The decision of the


Commission published by the announcement dated
30.12.2020 and 27.10.2021 to limit the number of
attempts/opportunities to the candidates appearing for
various competitive examinations, has been cancelled
by the Commission vide announcement dated
15.06.2022 published on its website www.mpsc.gov.in.
The number of attempts shall be admissible to
candidates up to the age limit prescribed for their
respective categories.

7. Odisha i) OPSC has introduced Recruitment Calendar for the


first time and published on the website for all
concerned. The Recruitment activities are adhering to
the schedule resulting in definite streamlined
recruitment cycle.
ii) OPSC has introduced Digital Evaluation on Pilot Basis
for evaluation of Subjective Answer Scripts of the
Odisha Civil Services Main Examination.
iii) OPSC is implementing Examination Audit System, in
which third party independent auditors visit the
examination venue before the examination and on the
day of examination. They ensure the availability of
required infra for conduct of exam as per the norms
and parameters specified by the Commission. If any
exam venue is lacking in any aspect, then immediately
appropriate authorities are intimated through mobile
app for taking necessary corrective measures. On the
day of examination, they ensure smooth conduct of
examination along with observers deputed from the
Commission.

iv) OPSC is in process of implementing Recruitment
Automation Solution, which shall have the following
proposed features:
a) Use of Digilocker Verification for authentication of
identity of candidates.
b) Use of Artificial Intelligence based solution for
automated Marks Extraction from uploaded mark
sheets, in recruitments where career marking is
involved.
v) OPSC is following a successful technology for masking
of candidates appearing at the interview. In the
interview, a random code is assigned to the candidate
and the interview board conducts the interview on the
basis of that code, without knowing the identity of the
candidate.
vi) OPSC has proceeded in establishment of a robust
Public Grievance Redressal System for the candidates/
general public with fixed timeline for resolving the
queries/issues in the quickest time with the swiftest
manner.

8. Rajasthan i) One Time Registration (OTR): This was a landmark


module developed and implemented through State
Recruitment Portal. The system was implemented by
the Commission on 10.01.2022. Under this, the
candidate has to enter his one-time details on the
portal. After creating the profile, he gets an OTR
number by the system and after that the candidate
cannot make nay amendment in his/her own name,
father‟s name, gender and date of birth in his/her
profile. Candidated can create their OTR Profile by
visiting the State Recruitment Portal mainly in three
(03) ways-Janadhar (if available only for candidate of
Rajasthan State), Aadhaar and (if available) and
through SSO Profile.

The implementation of this system will bring


many far-reaching benefits to both the candidate and
the Commission. From the perspective of the
candidate, you will get rid of filling your details again
and again because all his details will be displayed
automatically and his form will be submitted within
some time. From the perspective of the Commission,
each candidate will get a separate identity and will get
rid of duplication.

ii) Expenditure Bill: This module has been developed on
State Recruitment Portal in order to calculate the
Expenses incurred on various resources pertaining to
an Examination. This module generates various reports
like Particular Center Bill, District wise bill, Monitoring
Room bill, Summary report.

Exact calculation regarding expenses of all the


resource pertaining to and Examination can be
determined now.

9. Telangana i) The Commission has developed an effective grievance


redressal system which is candidates friendly and
accordingly designed a centralized grievances
monitoring system, where a common Dashboard is
provided to review and to respond the queries of
grievances of the candidates as soon as possible.
