Microbiology Lab Equipment Identification and Description

Objectives: At the end of this activity, you must be able to identify the different laboratory equipment and tools
used in Microbiology and Parasitology course.

Introduction:

Microbiology is the study of microscopic life forms and is used by scientists studying viruses, plants, fungi,
protozoans, cells, and parasites. To scientifically study these microorganisms, we use different laboratory equipment and
tools. In the industry set-up, they used these tools used in order to maintain quality control i.e. to prove there are no living
contaminants or to figure out what type of contaminants there are so they know how to fix the problem. As a student
studying this course, it is of paramount importance that you familiarize yourself with these tools, not only to successfully
pass this course but also to properly use them and take good care of them especially when you are already in the field.
