1. Explain why entrepreneurial activities are important to social development and economic
progress.

 Entrepreneurial activities are important because they create jobs, encourage


innovation, promote competition, diversify the economy, solve social problems,
and create wealth. They help the economy grow and improve people's lives.

2. What entrepreneurial activities related to your specialization you know or capable in


doing.

 Entrepreneurial activities related on my field of specialization that I am capable of


doing are creating and selling a food product to retailers, starting a food vlog to
attract a following and earn revenue through sharing recipes and cooking tips, and
teaching cooking classes to earn money through class fees.
3. If you were given the opportunity to own a business that relates to your specialization
you think you will be confident to manage. Explain your answer.

 If I were given the opportunity to own a  business,  it can be challenging because


it involves managing inventory, customer service, and kitchen operations, as well
as following regulations and safety standards. However, with the right training,
education, and experience, I can be confident in managing a business. It may also
be helpful to consult with industry experts or hire experienced staff. Confidence
comes from a combination of knowledge, experience, and adaptation to changes
in the industry.

4. What do you think are the most competencies one must possess in order to be successful
a chosen business.

 To be successful in any business, it is important to possess a range of


competencies. These include a strong business acumen, leadership skills,
creativity and innovation, adaptability, customer focus, networking skills, and
resilience. Successful entrepreneurs need to understand the industry, analyze data,
make informed decisions, inspire and motivate a team, think outside the box, take
risks, adapt to change, understand their target audience, build strong relationships,
and bounce back from failures. Overall, possessing these competencies is
essential for any individual who wants to succeed in their chosen business.

5. Name successful entrepreneurs from your province whose your businesses are related to
field of specialization. Make sure you will share with the class the PECs that made them
successful.

 Here are the successful entrepreneurs from the province of Nueva Vizcaya who
have businesses related to food service management including the PECs (Personal
Entrepreneurial Competencies) that made them successful.

• Jee Ann Guzman, founder of Balai Kapehian - Jee Ann Guzman is the founder
of Balai Kapehian, a coffee shop and restaurant that showcases the rich culture
and flavors of Nueva Vizcaya. Her passion for local cuisine and culture,
combined with her entrepreneurial skills, has led to the success of her business.
Some of the PECs that made her successful include creativity, innovativeness,
passion for excellence, and customer focus.

• Raymond Saway, founder of Great Harvest Bread Company - Raymond Saway


is the founder of Great Harvest Bread Company, a bakery that offers a variety of
bread, pastries, and other baked goods. He has been recognized for his innovative
bread-making techniques and commitment to using high-quality, natural
ingredients. Some of the PECs that made him successful include creativity,
innovativeness, resourcefulness, and commitment to quality.

• Ana Cuyugan, founder of Tita Ana's Lumpia House - Ana Cuyugan is the
founder of Tita Ana's Lumpia House, a restaurant that specializes in Filipino-style
lumpia (spring rolls). Her commitment to using fresh ingredients and traditional
recipes has led to the success of her business. Some of the PECs that made her
successful include customer focus, commitment to quality, passion for excellence,
and resilience.

• Imee Sitchon, founder of Cafe Imee's - Imee Sitchon is the founder of Cafe
Imee's, a restaurant that serves Filipino comfort food and other dishes. Her
commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and providing a warm and
welcoming atmosphere has made Cafe Imee's a popular destination for both locals
and tourists. Some of the PECs that made her successful include customer focus,
interpersonal skills, passion for excellence, and resilience.
Overall, successful entrepreneurs in the food service industry share several PECs,
