Reflection on the movie “Every Child is Special”

Life teaches us different lessons in life. It may be through an experience or through a

person. But in my case, life thought me another valuable lesson through a movie.

The movie in titled “Every Child is special” is one of the unforgettable movie that I’ve
watched. The movie tells the story of a child named Ishaan who has dyslexia. Dyslexia is a
learning disorder that involves difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and
learning how they relate to letters and words. Through this movie I was enlighten by so many
realizations and lessons.

In a family, the parents should always be the one who knows and understand their child
better than someone else. They should be the first persons who can determine their child’s
strength and weaknesses. Every parent wants their children to excel in life but they must
consider some factors. That in a bundle of vegetables there will always be one different. If
parent wants their child to be successful they should build first strong foundation that can
support their child. Whereas through the help of it the child will not be scared to spread his/her
wings to fly.

Teachers play a big role in every student’s life. They act as a judge in court where they
give equal justice to everyone. In this movie, I realized that teachers should know the
background of their students. Through that teachers can understand and be aware of every
child’s situation and can give the proper way of learning for them .We never know what they
are going through. We should not judge quickly.

In a world where negativity can be anywhere, be the one who attract positive things .Be
the one who choose love and kindness rather than violence. Because we don’t know what
other people are in to. We should put big space for understanding people. Just like Mr. Khan.
Mr.Khan shows genuine love and kindness to Ishaan. He’s the only person who gave attention
to him.He is a great model of a noble teacher that he is. He did things beyond his role as
Ishaan’s teacher. He became a good friend, a teacher and a father. To be a teacher is not only
simple giving your students a topic to discuss, projects to comply and exams to pass. Teachers
are not just that, they are farther than that. I admired Mr. Khan so much. I want to be like him.
Infact, I think I already love him.

Indeed every child is special. We must not underestimate someone’s capability because
we differ from one another. Maybe you doesn’t excel in some areas of life but always
remember that there is something in you that makes you special. Just keep tracing the right
path and pray to God to surround you with people that can help you grow into a beautiful
creature.
