PARTICIPANTS AND SAMPLING

The participants in this study are the commuters in Tandang Sora Quezon City,

our participants age is around 18 to 60 years old, they may be employed, unemployed

or a students who uses a transportation here in Tandang Sora terminal to go to their

work, school, or wherever the location they need to go. The number of participants

that were included in our study is 100 commuters. We collected the data from our

participants through interview to gather information, we used the interview as a

qualitative method to personally asking them one-on-one conversation.

A purposive sampling procedure was used for selecting the participants in this

study, the participants of this study were selected through typical case sampling. This

sampling can be effective way to gather data that accurately reflects the experiences

and behaviors of the large commuting population, we can obtain more comprehensive

understanding of the factors that influence commuting patterns.


DATA PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS

The data processing of this research on commuters requires careful attention to

detail, accuracy and consistency to ensure that the resulting insights are valid and

reliable. The Colaizzi method is particularly useful for exploring complex and

subjective experiences, such as commuter’s experiences. By following this method, we

can gain a deeper understanding of the phenomenon under investigation and provide

rich despcriptions of participants experiences.

RESEARCH LOCALE AND CONTEXT

We conducted this study among commuters in the most populous cities in the

Philippines and is located in the northern part of Metro Manila. Commuters in Quezon

City is characterized by a busy and bustling city with well-developed transportation

infrastructure, high population density and access to various amenities and services.
