ACTIVITY 1

Title: BINGO: Enhancing Mathematics and Critical Thinking Ability

Target Group:
Ten Students

Rationale
Understanding and managing a concept's limits and constraints, asking
questions with a mathematical slant, and being aware of the sorts of solutions that
mathematics may provide are all examples of mathematical thinking proficiency. The
activity will help students in widening their knowledge of basic mathematical problems
(addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Additionally, the major goals of the exercise BINGO are to improve pupils'
fundamental math skills and to increase their confidence in verbally delivering
responses. A group of students may participate in this kind of leisure activity since it
allows for the subjective determination of winners.

Processing Questions

1. How do you feel about the activity?

2. What is the most exciting part of the activity?
3. What have your learned from the activity?
Deepening/Insights

The students will be able to solve mathematical problems quickly while

enhancing their critical thinking skills. Throughout the activity, the students will have a
better grasp of how to solve math equations and have a sense of sportsmanship in
terms of who got the score high or who won first. The activity will also them boost their
self-confidence in facing challenges and interacting with different students as well as
being comfortable in engaging with their teachers effectively. Lastly, students will feel
the enjoyment of being in the classroom setting and be more active in the subject area
of learning.

ACTIVITY 2

Title: Peal the Cabbage: An Interactive Motivational Activity

Target Group:
Ten Members
HAWAK Program

Rationale
There are many different motivational activities you may engage in to increase
your motivation and commit to completing the things you don't want to do. They can
assist you in achieving your objectives and moving on with your life.

This activity promotes positivity by identifying students’ strengths and

empowering them to overcome their weaknesses. This is their safe place to share their
thought and feelings towards themselves and how they manage to cope with the
different challenges they overcome as teenagers and a student. This will help them to
be goal-oriented and to appreciate their own capabilities and admire their uniqueness.

Processing Questions

1. What have you discovered about yourself based on the activity?

2. What do you consider your strengths and weaknesses?
3. What have you learned from the activity?

Deepening/Insights

During the activity, the students shared different life experiences and battles they
encountered not only within the school premise but also in their homes. They were also
aware that these experiences will help them in molding their personality and become a
stronger version of themselves. The activity helped them to acknowledge the strengths
and respect the weaknesses of others. Students were able to get close to each other
and build friendships among each other which is the main objective of the said activity.

Title: What’s in the Box?: Solve the Problem Activity

Date: March 30, 2023
Target Group:
Ten Members
HAWAK Program

Rationale

School activities of all kinds are the real key to the development of the
personality and talents of the student and make him an effective person able to
communicate with the community positively. The different stages of study that students
go through require different activities to grow and enhance their personality along with
school activities and study.

The main objective of this activity is to develop students’ competency in different

subject learning (English and mathematics). Apart from this, it is also a recreational
activity where groups and leadership skills will also be developed. Social interaction and
sportsmanship will also be present and different basic knowledge of students will be
incorporated with the aforementioned activity.

Processing Questions

1. How do you find the activity?

2. What do you think is the importance of the activity?
3. What have you learned from the activity?

Deepening/Insights

Students who participated in the activity really enjoyed answering the questions.
We also observed that their confidence tends to increase because they are fighting with
the time they have to finish the task. They are also cooperating with each other and
believed in one another to win the game. The points were very meaningful for them as it
was a group effort. Their knowledge from the different subject was also recapped and
applied to the activity they had undergone.
