Background: how long has this person been a manager, and what work did he do before he become
a manager?

- Mr. Prashant was the manager at Deloitte for the last 16 years working on a software project
since the beginning of his career. He said that as the experience increases your product
knowledge and skills also increase.

Q2. How did his/her job requirement change when he/she was hired to this management position?

- According to Mr. Prashant you can’t stay in the same position for 4 years in the same company.
The company would expect some growth from your designation-wise and also skill-wise, you
can’t stay in the same position. He said growth and self-development is an important aspects.

Q3. What was the biggest change he/she noticed when he/she became a manager?

- The biggest change Mr. Prashant noticed after becoming a manager was he needs to be updated
as much as possible because if you are a manager you need to know every latest software or
current things and adapt according to requirements and learn new for the near future.

Q4. What new skills did he/she need to learn?

- As per Mr. Prashant you need always keep learning new things as no one in this world is perfect.
He conveyed to us the quote “Change is the only thing in this world that is constant” and hence
he believes that a manager should pose good communication skills, active listener, understands
the needs of the customer to provide the best service to the organization, motivates his team
members in order to achieve the target of the project which helps towards organization’s
success.

- Mr. Prashant uses the principles of empathy, listening, and understanding the point of view of
each member of his group and helps them with the overall growth of his team members.

- There’s no such the hardest part according to Mr. Prashant since he tries to do whatever is best.
