(INTRO)

Hello students! We are the group known as BKD or The Barkada Kontra Droga, we are here to introduce
to you our organization, our roles and responsibilities on this campus. (Introduce yourselves)

This organization is supported by the Board Regulation No. 5, Series of 2007 which states that:

“The Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) shall enjoin all sectors of the society (the youth and studentry,
families, workforces, professional, labor and service provider groups, Government Agencies and offices
(GO and LGU), non-government agencies/organizations, Civic as well as religious sectors, and the entire
community) to be part of special Groups known as “barkadas” that advocate and serve as models to
young people to live their lives in a productive and healthy ways away from the harmful effects of
Drugs.”

To get to the point, we are here to support you in terms of mental health, like anxiety and depression,
and give advice on problems that you might have, as well as supporting you in the abandoning of
substance abuse.

(BODY)

We are the people that you would want to talk to about your problems at home, issues with identity or
your struggles with mental health, as we also provide counseling to the people who need it.

We are here for you. We have people that will want to help you, and guide you, so don’t be shy and
approach us if you or someone that you know wants or needs help.

Now you might be inclined to ask “Why should I tell these people my problems when there’s a chance
that they’re going to use it to spread rumors about me.” Your concers are valid, but don’t worry, we are
an exclusive group, which means that if you have something that you want to share, what you will say
won’t spread outside of the group.

Now on to our Roles and Responsibilities, these are, obviously, the psychological and emotional
wellbeing of the student populace. And to reiterate, we are the people that you would want to talk your
problems to. We have members that will administer check-ups on those students that often skip class,
have a known habit of smoking, drinking, debauchery.

Now, full disclosure. We, the students that are part of this organization, are not yet permitted to give
counseling to other students, so for the time being, until we are properly trained, the person who will
counsel you is our lovely Guidance Counselor. We are however, permitted to give friendly advice to
those who seek it.

(CONCLUSION)
