Abstract

The project focuses on how much an intern should be paid when focusing on the years of
experience, GPA points and interview score. The results will be matched against one’s
performance in the three categories hence its fair in terms of all areas focused. The artificial
intelligence used is based on Linear regression. What the model does is that it matches the
given input to the closest amount given by our dataset in the Hiring.csv document.

Problem

The primary focus of this project focuses on the graduate students and organizations that may
seek their earned skills. The problem is that many of these graduates fail to meet their end-to-
end needs in their daily life because they may earn little or no salary from their organizations.
This hence brings about a lot of backlashes because of the indifference between various staff
and newly employed graduates may seems as an issue.

It’s also important to note that some of these companies tend to take in intern graduates and
use their skills to their own benefit and after the task is done the interns are let go. This is a
big disappointment that discourages even the most skilled students because it does not make
any sense to work hard and receive no salary.

One should also consider how do companies rate a person’s skills. Do they consider the
experience, GPA points and interview score. Having these questions, it will clarify the air
that bothers most if not all interns in their new places of work. Using the AI technology we
are able to close the gap that would require human intervention and just focus on getting the
right score.

This system closes the gate to biasness, lack of transparency and inequality in most
organizations.

Problem statement

To solve the problem in the salary indifferences between companies, organizations and intern
graduates from universities.
