1. The Girl Scouts of the Philippines, Camarines Sur Council, hereby announces
its annual schedule of Programs, Projects and Activities, School Year 2022 2023.

Activities shall strictly adhere to the policies, rules regulations on "OFF-


CAMPUS ACTIVITIES" per DepEd Order No. 66, s. 2017 and guidelines issued by the
IATF until the state of Health Emergency is lifted by the Office of the President.

3. To implement any Program, Project or Activity found in the attached


enclosures, concerned Public Schools District Supervisors/School Heads, including
the local GSP Council shall prepare Memorandum and Activity Proposals that will be
approved by the Schools Division Surerintendent.

5. Travel allowance and other incidental expenses maybe charged from thee
school MOOE/ other funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulations..

REITERATION OF POLICY GUIDELINES IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF GSP PROGRAMS, PROJECTS AND


ACTIVITIESs
TO: ALL PUBLIC sCHOOLS DISTRICT SUPERVIsORS/ SCHOOL HEADS OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE
ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS/HEADS OF NATIONALIZED HIGH SCHOOLS/DISTRICT
FIELD ADVISERS, CAMARINES SUR

In consonance with DO 86, 5. 2012 ( Guidelines on Revitalizing Girl Scouting in Schools Nationwide ) the
Department of Education, Division of Camarines Sur recognizes the significant role of Girl Scouts of the
Philippines (GSP) in producing remarkable and empowered women through the realization of the ideals of
womanhood in preparation for their responsibilties in the home, the nation and the world community.
As a co curricular program in the schools, membership and participation In Girl Scouting and in its
programs, projects and activities, therefore, should be ighly and favorably encouraged and supported.
3. In view of these, the DepEd Division of Camarines Sur promotes the revitalization of Girl Scouting in
schoots and in various areas of potential partnership cooperation and collaboration, by issuing the

following
4. The Girl Scouts of the Philippines Camarines Sur Council Staff/Representatives in coordination with the
District Field Advisers/ School Heads/Public Schools District Supervisors are hereby authorized to visit
Elementary and Secondary Schools for the purpose of membership campaign.
All School Heads and Public Schools District Supervisors are hereby advise to give support to this

undertaking.

GUIDELINES ON
I. MEMBERSHIP TO THE GSP:
a. All DepEd Officials (PSDS, Principals, Head teachers, TiIC ) are urged/encouraged to register and

be active members of the GSP.


b. At the beginning of the school year (S/Y) all public and private elementary and secondary
schools, through their principals/heads are advised to promote membership to the GSP among

The accomplished registration form, together with the corresponding registration fees will be
rwarded, remitted and issued a receipt at the GSP Councl Office.

Officlals of the DepEd are urged to actively contribute in the development and implementation of
QUALITY GIRL SCOUTING PROGRAM by zealously and vigorously promoting and supporting the
Program ofthe GSP specifically:

I1.PARTICIPATIONIN THE GIRLSCOUTING ACTIVITIES


DepEd Officials, Personnel and school children are enjoined to participate in the Girl Scouting
Activities such as contests, competitions, trainings and conferences in the school, division, regional,
national and international levels, subject to existing DepEd policies, rules and regulations.

IV. INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT


All DepEd Officials and personnel are encouragedto support the GSP and its activities in all and
whatever significant way possible.

V. WEARING OF THEGIRL SCOUT UNIFORM.


The wearing of the Girl Scout Official Uniform by duly registered DepEd Official and personnel
including pupils and students, during official GSP activities and every Friday during school days is
highly desired for visibility and positive image - building. Girl-pupils assigned to assist/given specific

task during school programs/activities are encouraged to be in a GSP uniform.

Vi. SERVICE CREDITSAND OTHERINCENTIVES


1. Service Credits shall be granted for attendance in Girl Scouting Activities (DECS
Memorandum No. 143 s. 1997)
2. Exemption of Girl Scouts from Citizen's Army Training (CAT) (DECS Order No. 106, 5. 1998 ).
3. Service Credits for Awards/Citations received and Training conducted and/or attended
relative to Girl Scouting will be considered for employment/promotion in DepEd or in
ranking of honor pupils or students. (DECS Order No. 49 s. 2007). Granting of Service
Credits for teachers per DepEd Order No. 53 s. 2003 and Compensation Overtime Credits
(COCS) for non-teaching personnel and officials per CSC-DBM joint circular No. 2 s. 2004.

VI. GIRLSCOuTING DISTRICT FIELD ADVISER


P e r GSP Council By-Law, S e c t i o n 3 8 , " T h e District Field Adviser is a v o l u n t e e r w h o is t e c h n i c a l l y

trained. She coordinates the implementation of the Girl Scout Program in the troops within her
district. She serves as the liaison between the troops and their support committee, which are the
District Community and Barangay Committee. The District Fleld Adviser is appointed by the
Council Board and is responsible to the Councl Executive in the performance of her job. Likewise,
the PSDS/and or the Princlpals/School Heads may designate their School GSP Coordinators,
