Do Teenagers Really Need a Mobile Phone?
Nowadays, mobile phones are becoming an extremely popular electronic for people.
They are also becoming more technologically sophisticated; most can take and share
pictures and videos and connect to the Internet for web surfing. Many teenagers are
becoming cell phone owners, however. It’s debatable whether a teenager actually needs
a mobile phone, but mostly they will say that a phone was essential to their happiness
and social standing. Without a mobile phone, the average teenager is unable to function–
they can’t talk to their friends and life just isn’t worth living. But before you give in and
rush off to buy your petulant teenager a brand new iPhone, read the following list.
One of the reasons of letting a teenager have a mobile phone is because one way of
making a teenager do exactly what you want is by using a combination between bribery
and blackmail. They will do what you want easily if you offer to put more data on their
mobile phone. Second reason is that mobile phone can also be an excellent way of
staying in touch with a teenager when they are away from home. Third, many cell
phones enable the teenager to access internet. By using this feature, teenagers can obtain
answers to questions very quickly and easily. The last, if a teenager has a mobile phone,
they can use it to call for help in a sticky situation for some reason. In such condition,
having a cell phone handy could be a lifesaver.
In spite of having some advantages, letting teenagers have a mobile phone has also
some disadvantages. First, cheating can be done more easily by using mobile phone
since students can search or text the answers under their desks during tests. Second,
mobile phones can be very distracting from some important activities in a child’s life
such as studying, doing homework, or even crossing the street. Third, sexual content
which can be accessed easily is also an issue for parents to consider before giving a
mobile phone for their child.
Everything must have its good and bad effect, and mobile phone must too. We need
to be wise to use such a sophisticated technology in our lives. As parents, we can set
guidelines for our children on when they are able to use their cell phones or give a
suitable phone for their age so that we can get more advantages from purchasing a
mobile phone for our children.

The song “Smoke Break” summarizes the broken relationships that performers have to
suffer through. Case in point, they lose their free time and don’t have as much
fun anymore with people they used to share these experiences with. Chance and Future
are able to capture this feeling perfectly, with their caring tone as well as strong vocals.
Future’s verse helps emphasize the meaning of the song that Chance laid out in his
verses, as they are both singing about broken relationships, and both describe different
paths that they can lead to. It isn’t all too bad, however! There is peace in these
situations through drug medication. This is shown throughout the song, as Chance sings
to his girlfriend and paints a picture for the listener.
This image is a broken relationship, one plagued with unaligned schedules, stress at
home as well as on the road. It has a cloud of smoke, signifying the one thing keeping
them sane: a smoke break.

Since the first production of “Private Lives” in 1930, with the theatre’s two leading
sophisticates Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence in the leads, the play as tended to be chosen
as a vehicle for starts.
QUT Academy of the Arts’ production boasted no ‘stars’, but certainly fielded potential
stars in a sparkling performance that brought out just how fine a piece of craftsmanship
Coward’s play is. More than 60 years later, what new could be deduced from so familiar a
theme? Director Rod Wissler’s highly perceptive approach went beyond the glittery surface of
Witty banter to the darker implications beneath.
With the shifting of attitudes to social values, it became clear that Victor and Sibly were
potentially the more admirable of the couples, with standards better adjusted than the volatile and
self-indulgent Elyot and Amanda.
The wit was there, dexterously ping-ponged to and fro by a vibrant Amanda (Catherine
Jones) and a suave Elyot (Daniel Kealy). Julie Eckersley’s Sibly was a delightful creation, and
Phillip Cameron-Smith’s more serious playing was just right for Victor. Jodie Levesconte was a
superb French maid, James Maclean’s set captured the thirties atmosphere with many subtle
touches.
All involved deserve the highest praise.
40. According to the passage, “Private Live” brought out a sparkling performance of the stars
because of the great work of ….
A. Director Rod Wissler
B. Victor and Sibly
C. Catherine Jones and Daniel Kealy
D. QUT Academy of the Arts
E. Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence

Homeschooling
Homeschooling is an alternative way to educate our kids besides sending them to public
school. Homeschooling is becoming more popular every day. There are about two
million children currently learning at home. However it has some advantages and
disadvantages.
Parents choose homeschooling to educate their kids because they believe that
homeschooling can be a personalized schedule. Home schooling allows parents and
children to work out a schedule that will best work for the child.
Another advantage is flexibility in time and curriculum. By home schooling parents can
set the curriculum around vacation, illnesses, and other surprise event
On the other hand, homeschooling can spoil parents’ time. Homeschooling needs a lot
of time in preparation and delivery. Parents have to research topics, prepare the lessons,
set up the projects and field the trips.
So, when thinking about putting children through home school, we should make sure
that we understand all of the criteria involved in the home education.
