Length of Implementation:
The length of implementation is one week, May 10, 2021 to May 16, 2021. For the seven days, 8-
9 hours are given for actual implementation of the project by teaching basic education to siblings and
documentation.
IV. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
“The general purpose of the one-week project is the opportunity to teach the youngsters some
fundamental education to our younger siblings. Toward this end, the following objectives are set:
1. To ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the learners, and volunteers;
3. To reduce as much as possible the negative impact this pandemic will have on learning and
schooling and build on this experience to get back on a path of faster improvement in
learning.”
V. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The word “homeschooling” suggests a school-at-home approach in which parents, their oldest
sisters, or brothers replicate the instructional process of schools, including a set curriculum,
traditional instruction, assignments, and so on. Self-directed learning is manageable to initiate
because the primary mission is to create a happy home base from which children can explore and
learn about their family, community, and world (Alternatives to School, 2021). Furthermore, during
the COVID-19 pandemic, home-based learning was already introduced in all schools to make learning
as seamless as possible at home, without the need for physical interaction close with other students
(Rum Tan, 2020).
With this, our group seized the opportunity to teach the youngsters some fundamental education
within our neighborhood without getting an exchange. To be specific, it may be one of our siblings
who is younger than us or our cousins is staying in the same house with us, so that it will be more
convenient and can still follow the recent regulations made by the government in regards to COVID-
19. In addition, the said project proposal is an illustration of volunteerism where our objective is
solely to lend enough assistance within the family in terms of educational support.
In the middle of this pandemic, students are required to have an online class in order to learn.
We have noticed that many young learners are having a hard time adjusting to online classes. With
this, a project called ‘”OPLAN: Youth Education” was started by a group of young individuals who aims
to help educate the youth.
This project will focus on the proposal for Youth Education: Project Homebased Learning
Education to guide children through their general education, as well as their health. This project can
be achieved, as the group will provide guidance support to children ages 4-12 years old in their
specific household.
The Project Homebased Learning Basic Education will benefit the target audience, which includes
children aged 4 to 12 years old, by guiding through their basic education as well as their health, where
they will be taught healthy exercise that is suitable for their age and skill.
Coverage
The project will include all the youth in the Barangay, especially those children aged four to 12
years old who need assistance with their Basic Education as well as their health.
