SECTION 1 - SITE CLEARING, EXCAVATION AND FILLING

1.1 Site Survey

Verification Of Level etc.

Before commencing any works, the Contractor


shall check actual levels and dimensions against
those shown on the drawings. Immediately
inform the S.O of anyalleged discrepancy,
otherwise the levels and dimensions will be
deemed to be correct as shown. No claims for
extra payment in this connection will be
entertained later. LS Contractor

1.1.1 Initial Survey

a The Contractor shall employ a licensed surveyor


to carry out a site survey within one (1) week
after the date of site posession, and to assist in
establishing boundaries and set out the work.
Details of grid lines, setting out stations
benchmarks, profiles, etc, shall be recorded on
setting out drawing. LS Contractor

b The Contractor and S.O/Engineer shall carry out


a joint survey of the EXISTING BUILDINGS/
STRUCTURES/SERVICES likely to be affected by the
works and the conditions of the said items shall
be recorded. LS Contractor

1.1.2 Survey On Completion

a Immediately on completion of the works, the


Contractor shall employ a licensed Land Surveyor
to carry out further site survey, and produce as
built drawings showing the levels, positions of
buildings, etc. The drawings are to be submitted
to the S.O/Engineer for verification. After
verification, six copies shall be provided for the
S.O/Engineer usage. LS Contractor

b The Contractor and S.O/Engineer shall carry out a


joint survey of the existing building on completion
of the works and the conditions shall be
recorded. LS Contractor

1.2 Site Clearance

1.2.1 Clear the whole of the site as shown on drawing


of all existing deleterious materials/ structures
including disconnection of services, etc. to S.O's
satisfaction and remove all debris off site etc. to
a tip to be provided by the Contractor at his
own expense. Ha Contractor

1.3 Sand Fill

1.3.1 Supply and place of non-woven geotextile type A


as specified in the specification and shown in the MS 15,750
relevant drawings.

1.3.2 Approved imported sand fill as described


obtainable from Contractor's own sources to
make up levels to areas to be filled up to required
level including depositing, spreading and levelling
in layer to the required formation level as shown
in the relevant drawing. MC 910,000

SECTION 2 - TETRAPOD REVETMENT CONSTRUCTION

2.1 Dredging

2.1.1 Dredge sea-bed to the rquired level for the


purpose of laying core (quary run) to receive
underlayer and tetrapod blocks (all measured
separately) as specified and shown in the

2.2 Rubble Stone

2.2.1 Supply, deliver and place 0.1 tonne to 0.3 tonne


in core of revetment as specified. MC 110,160

2.3 Armour Stone

2.3.1 Supply, deliver and place granite rock as


underlayer/toe mound weighing between 0.8 tonne
to 1.0 tonne. MC 83,850

2.4 Concrete Block (Tetrapod)

2.4.1 Provide all necessary steel moulds of various sizes


as specified for casting of Tetrapod units. LS Contractor

2.4.2 Provide all necessary material and labour for


casting of Tetrapod units No. 13,956

2.4.3 Handle and place Tetrapod as primary armour


as specified. No. 13,956

2.5 Concrete Works

2.5.1 Supply, lay and compact layer (variable


thickness) of granite crusher run including blinding
with fine aggregate to receive revetment
concrete cap, all as specified. MS 940
