ENGLISH HANDWRITING COMPETITION (GROUP A & B)
Dear Parent ,
This is for your information that English Handwriting Competition will
be held for students of Group A (Class III) on 10th August 2021
(Tuesday) at 4 pm and for Group B (Classes IV & V) on 13th August,
2021 (Friday) at 4 pm on the Zoom platform . Interested students can
participate in their respective event using the following id and password :

Rules of English Handwriting Competition :

1. Students will be provided with a paragraph in English. They should read,
write and submit the written paragraph.
2. Students should write on either a four – ruled page or a two – ruled page .
3. Students should use any of the following writing instruments: Ballpoint
pen, fountain pen , gel pen or pencil (preferably 2B or 4B) .
4. Use the same writing instrument throughout the entry.
5. Use only black/blue ink to write if pen is being used .
6. DO NOT use whitener / correction pen .
7. One hour time will be allocated .
8. Finished entries should be neatly scanned in pdf format and sent to
dpsjoka.graphic@gmail.com latest by 5 pm that very day . Any entry
submitted after 5 pm won’t be accepted .
9. Students should clearly write their name , class , section , roll number and
house at the top of their entry .
10. Throughout the competition , video of the student should be switched on
and the camera should be focused in a manner such that the student and
his/her copy should be clearly visible .

Judgement :
Competition judges will evaluate entries based on the following parameters :
LEGIBILITY (how easily we can read the writing),
FLOW (the smoothness, grace, and flow of the writing),
NEATNESS
GENERAL APPEARANCE (spacing between letters, words, and lines;
consistency of letter size and forms; spelling)
