Ayrshire College – Aero – Citrix Download Guide

While you can access Citrix through a browser (see last page), you are going to be far more
productive downloading and installed Citrix Workspace on your device. This allows full screen
interface for all CAD work rather than a small window inside a browser!

Please follow the below guide for setting up this software on your device.

1. Navigate to the following URL:

https://www.citrix.com/en-gb/downloads/workspace-app/

2. You will see various dropdown boxes of which you should select your operating system
(windows, mac etc.).

3. Select the dropdown and click link. Download and install.

4. Select set up account.

5. Select add.

6. Fill in the account details as shown.

7. Sign in using your student number and password.

 8. Select store.

9. Select W2K19 ACES Desktop. Once it loads, you can maximise to full screen and access
software like CATIA V5, Autodesk Inventor etc.

If you cannot get the above to work, you can access Citrix through your web browser as detailed
below. However, please discuss with your lecturer and we may be able to assist with any issues you
face.

Browser Access.

All you need is an HTML 5 enabled browser such as Edge, Chrome or Firefox.

1. Launch your preferred browser navigate to the following

address: https://storefront.ayrshire.ac.uk
2. Sign in using your college credentials (student number) and current password.
3. Select “Use light version”
4. Click on your desktop to launch.

You will have access to all the software you use in College which means that you don’t need to be in
the classroom to use it, allowing you to be more flexible with your studying time.
