Due to smart phones, children can contact a parent within seconds if they

have a problem. What are advantages and disadvantages of always being in

contact?
Nowadays smart phones are a very important part of young people’s lives. This allows them to
contact their parents at any time. But there are both positive and negative sides of always being in
contact with them.

The main benefit is that a person have an opportunity to get help or advice at any time. Provided
that a young person are in a trouble, or don’t have experience in some situation, you can always ask
your parents about it. It is also true that parents feel less stressed and anxious about their
children always being on their phones in case something bad happens to them, parents can easily
contact their children. Even if children are far away from home, conectivity allows parents to remove
some wories about children, because they can be in touch all the time.

On the other hand, a person become less independent being in contact with your parents all the
time.  Being always protected by your parents could prevent boosting a feeling independence and
self- confidence. What is more, too much communication can lead into a lot of disagreements. It is
true that disagreements do not bring much peace into people's relationships.

In conclusion, always being in contact with your parents has both, advantages and disadvantages.
Even though it can help you to get out of a problem and make parents and children’s relationships
better in some ways, however in my opinion, too frequent communication can cause difficulties in
trying to live a separate life and be an independent person.
