PRE-REQUISITES

• All works undertaken are to be executed with full compliance


with the GDC-KLIA,SEPANG Health, Safety and Environment
Directives.

• SOE-CTL personnel shall perform Risk Assessments when


necessary, for works not covered by existing SOE-CTL Health,
Safety and Environment Directives.

• Any irregularities or discrepancies that are found within this


checklist are to be brought to the attention of the SOE-CTL
Maintenance Engineer.

• All maintenance works are to be carried out only after


documented authorization, which includes certification of Lock
out & Tag out and de-pressurization, have been received by
SOE-CTL personnel.

• Areas around equipment under maintenance are to be cordoned


off and access allowed only to SOE-CTL and SOE-CTL approved
personnel.

• All process and instrument lines coming in and out of


equipment under maintenance are to be isolated and blinded off.

• A cool down time of at least 8 hours is to be observed before the


commencement of maintenance works.

1. Combustion /Ventilation Air Intake

2. LM2500 Gas Generator

Fuel Gas Pipes and Manifold; oil and hydraulic lines and for external
leakages.

Check condition of all interconnecting oil/hydraulic hoses. Inspect


installation of gas fuel manifold and burner feed pipes for cracks and DONE
damages as per GEK 28156k.

Use GEK 28156k to refit any of the pipes on GG mounted fuel supply
system.

Pay special attention to clearance between engine mounted
pipes/components and other parts of skid. If clearance is not
enough, thermal growth of running engine may cause fretting of

Check security of Gas Generator mountings.


Inspect the front suspension bolts and spherical bearing for Mechanical NA

Clean/replace filters on hydraulic supply/return to hydraulically

7 Gas turbine combustion air and exhaust system

Check the air inlet systems for degradation and moisture buildup.

Inspect all joint bolts on the air system for tightness. Visually

Check the interior of the GG enclosure/Plenum. Look for signs of
corrosion and flanking paintwork in the plenum. Look for any
“sunlight” in the plenum. Refer GEK 28156k. Check all lights fixture.

Check operation of the door proximity switches and adjust if
necessary. Inspect the GG enclosure/plenum access door
gasketing for wear and deterioration. Lubricate door hinges.
Carry out functional test on automatic transfer on stand by unit for
Ventilation fan. Check tension on fan belts (if used) in enclosure
ventilation system. Check operation of the back-draught dampers Mechanical NA
to ensure free movement of the damper blades. Lubricate
dampers.
Visually inspect the exhaust expansion joint assembly to ensure
the unit is in good working order. Check for leakages between the

8. UCP, field devices and field wiring

Field devices: In general, pay special attention to terminal


connections of field devices and tighten them if necessary.

9. Electrical motors

Activity Discipline Remarks

Inspect and lubricate all electric motors (those which are


provided with grease nipples). Use chart for motor frame size
v/s grease qty-interval needed. (Motors upto frame 200 are
normally fitted without grease nipples). Make entries in
greasing logbook. Take photograph/note down name plate
details of all the motors.

Electric motors-Inspect all electric motors in the unit for
following-
1. Clean the motor. Remove dust, dirt or any other
blanketing element from the motor enclosure. There
should be no constrictions or blockage of ventilation to the
motor.
2. Open motor terminal box cover, check gasket and internal
for integrity, loose termination, ingress moisture and signs
of overheating. Connections should be secure, tight,
insulated and corrosion free. Clean, retighten and
reinsulated (if found necessary) all electrical connections.
3. Check tightness of mounts. Control NA
4. Security and condition of all earth bonding.
5. Measure the continuity (resistance) between motor and
earth .It should be below 1 ohm
6. Check and record insulation resistance of the motor
windings (all the phases and phase to phase) to ground.
Note down the value of test voltage and output of megger.
7. Check integrity of glands for damages
8. . Test that anti –condensation heaters are working,
whenever motors are not in operations.
9. Starting or running capacitors and power factor correction
capacitors should be checked for leakage and swelling.

with a layer of PVC tape. Then follow
with a second layer of cloth, fiberboard
and tape.

PS: During the rebuild period all parts will have their preservation and FME protection
systematically remove, be cleaned and fully blown down with plant air then closely
inspected prior to being considered acceptable to be re-installed and returned to
service.

PS: Due to relatively short duration of downtime (estimated 30 to 60 days) there is no


real requirement for additional anti-corrosion or anti-condensation protection required
at this time.
