Topic: Part-time Job

1. Introduction:
Question: “ Have you ever been fired on the first day when you just get a
job?
Time: “It was about 2 years ago when I’ve just completed the national
university entrance examination. Then I applied for a part-time job at the coffee
shop.
At that age, I’ve never known and experimented with how to solve a problem
when I am in a trouble. I was so worried about that but you know, what’s come
it will come.
It happened on the first day I got a job. So everything I needed to do is
brought the product to the customers, put it down on the table and said, “please
enjoy your drinks”. But No, lives wouldn’t not easy like that. I accidentally
made a client’s dress got wet with tomato juice. I definitely unforgetable
occasion on that day. I was so stunned and unsure of the accident I have done, I
was paralyzed for a few minutes while it happened. As a consquence, I had to
visit the supervisor immediately. Even though my boss accepted what I'm going
through but eventually he said that “He understood how I felt and agreed that
this position was not ideal for me. He offered me another job as well as assist
me more effectively in times of need”. That occurrence drove me to become
obsessed with going out to work and earning money. Thankfully I overcame all
that things and was able to talk comfortably with clients when unintentional
incidents happened. In the end, I started to turn out life is effortlessness.
Therefore, Today we are standing here and helping first-year students
overcome their fear of working part-time, we have detailed some of the
positives and negatives of this type occupation, moreover strategies to help a
freshman how to get by. Now let's get started with “a benefit of pt job”. “Hằng
will help you guys get the whole picture”.

2. The benefits of Part-time job:

Working part-time has both advantages and disadvantages, but in general we
will point out the positives.
First important point is that, thanks to a part-time job, students can earn some
money to spend on daily expenses. In evidence of this, a college or university
student often spends at least three years finishing their study syllabus, which
substantially triggers a big debt. Therefore, it is essential that students work part
time to reduce the debt. In fact, there has been an increase in the number of
students leaving college or university because they don’t have enough money to
pay for training fees in recent years. In addition, earning money during school
years also teaches students to understand the true values of money. Students can
afford to pay their pocket money, so they can learn how to make a budget and
have to stick to the budget to avoid running out of money in the mid month.
You can apply to these jobs such as copywriting, waitress, tutor, …
Secondly, gaining any work experience adds credibility to your CV, which
can help you stand out as a viable candidate when you’re applying for an
internship, apprenticeship or a graduate job. Employers generally prefer to hire
applicants with some form of work experience, as they already have an
understanding of workplace ethics and company culture. Work experience also
shows that you’re a hard worker and that you’re good at multitasking as you
found the time to work and study simultaneously…
And the last one is practicing multiple skills. For example, about myself, I
also have a part-time job at the cinema. I have been working here for 2 years
and I realize there are 5 important skills I have practiced, which are problem-
solving skills, time-management skills, team-working skills, observational
skills, and critical thinking skills.
These jobs, although low-paid, give you a lot of life experience. It helps you
know how to communicate with people better, helps you understand stories
better, helps you be more patient, … So, don’t let your youth pass by
meaninglessly, try to earn yourself part-time work but don’t put too much
emphasis on wages.

3. Drawbacks of having a part-time job.

Students' health and study are affected.

One of the first consequences of working part-time is feeling tired, which

greatly affects learning. First-year students are often not used to the new pace
and way of studying at the university, so if they work part-time, it will be very
easy to be shocked and cause a feeling of fatigue, stress, and difficulties in
studying.

Once a job generates income, it will not be as simple as we think. With the
high intensity of studying while working, it will sometimes make many students
overwhelmed. Not to mention the exam seasons, studying until late at night, and
having to work all day makes the health condition unstable. If maintained for a
long time, it will significantly affect health.

When the health situation has a problem, it leads to ineffective study, the
pressure from work and study easily makes the students stressed and even the
risk of depression.

In many cases, if you are not active and aware of the balance, leading to
dropping out or not spending time studying, if unfortunately we still have to pay
a small amount of money. Tuition fees for re-studying due to failure.

Students are scammed by bad guys.

Society has never been safe, contact with strangers will potentially expose us
to material temptations and put us in bad things. In addition, it is also easy to
encounter scams, especially Multilevel Marketing.

Students who work part-time are most afraid of encountering fraudulent

multi-level marketing companies. With delicious offers "no degree", and "no
experience required" still succeed, making inexperienced students who do not
realize will fall into the trap immediately. From close relationships that become
fractured to debt piled up because the fees are too high to "success" as the offers
of fraudulent multi-level organizations.

Things students need to be wary of:

+ Read emails to make money

+ Staff type documents at home

+ Watch TikTok make money.
